This is of course a no-brainer, but the only reason that the Prince can't climb up any buildings like Ezio is due to how the Prince of Persia is designed as a free-running platformer.
It has pre-determined paths and obstacles unlike the Assassin's Creed games that takes a more open-ended approach due to it's open world structure.
Its amazing how much inspiration the AC games had from Prince of Persia, they really feel like their predecessor
Because AC's Predecessor IS PoP lmao, without PoP, AC would have never existed in my opinion, or maybe that's a fact (i won't say it's a 100% true, but maybe it is), PoP was published by Ubisoft, But not made by them, still, i cannot recall ANY other parkour or freerunning game that could have inspired AC other than PoP
The original ac game was meant to be like prince of persia I'm pretty sure but they changed the story to assassins later in development

No one in the AC universe compares to the Prince on a power scale level.
The Prince even without the powers of the sands is clearly stronger than any ac character simply because he is clearly superhuman, every action that he performs he does in a way not possible by a real human, while the assassin animations are still somewhat grounded in reality. Comparing ezio and prince is like comparing the best warrior on earth to a literal demigod.

Yes and no. Talking about remake, yes? Look at parkour, that was initiator for adventure (not,"Action","Action adventure "...) and most moves are basic moves that we're more complex in AC. Try playing again each for ~30min and will see that adventure/parkour parts are actually more easier to perform. Why 1st AC people wasn't sure what playing (new gameplay style😃) and for 2nd, climbing onto towers in Firence isn't normal!!! Should be super alpinist, have strength in fingers to hold own weight...and do all that in more clothes +armour and weapons. Sooo debatable
well except for the woman from odyssey cause even she is a demi god thingy which again is absurd for an assassins creed game but yeah thats it .

If we talk about his strongest version, the prince is an all-powerful being, compared to any Ac protagonist, regardless of the gadgets they have.
In Warrior Within, the temporal paradoxes do not affect him, which is already a complex Multiversal achievement, but it does not stop there, because he also destroyed the Dahaka, an omnipresent entity in any timeline that is neither alive nor dead, whose existence is closely related to time/Fate, things that are equally infinite and unchangeable, which is something that frankly verges on the Hyperversal scale.
But the best thing is that that is not his best feat, the most impressive thing he did was transcend to a plane beyond space-time at the end of "Two Thrones", and if you are in a place beyond space-time , you are also beyond the dimensional concept, because without time space, there are no dimensions, which means that the prince, at his greatest power, is an Outerversal character.
Sorry to say it, Ezio fans, but in your eyes, the prince is on a completely unmatched level with any other AC protagonist, and with 80% of the fiction to be precise.

Prince can't die because he can rewind time, Ezio can't die because of medicine and epic dodge and deflect skills.
So neither can win 1v1 fight but i think overall ezio's combat is better for enemies as even though prince has his abilities, Ezio has double kill streaks which can kill like 100 people in a minute.
Prince can parry arrow , enemy's attack for long time also he has the ability to manipulate time even though ezio has long list of weapons. Also prince has defeated villains who has the power of nature. Thus this give upper hand to prince

@cutecell2798 there were a lot of other games with "uncharted" climbing at the time. What I have noticed with ubisoft games is that they rip off base mechanics from one game and expand on it.

I know I'm late, but I want to give a brief summary about PoP vs Assassin's Creed series:
PoP(SoT, WW, T2T + TFS): Not a single Assassin's Creed character can defeat the Prince esp. WW & T2T.
PoP(Classic): 60:40 chances between Prince and AC protagonists.
PoP(2008): 70:30 chances between Prince and AC protagonists.
Absolute overpowered Prince: The Sands of Time Trilogy. Even without sand powers, he can easily beat all AC protagonists except for the demigods, that would be challenging, I say 50-50. If any of the players have played the OG Trilogy, they'll understand. I don't want to extend but Prince is a fucking one man army and he too can disarm enemies, slice them and perform deadly 360 degree vertical wallrunning slice, if u have played the OG Trilogy esp WW & T2T.
I still love AC series but PoP is my childhood and fair judgement Ezio can't stand even 0.1% chance against the SoT Trilogy Prince.

Ezio can't climb down safely if there's nowhere to climb, same as the prince.
Prince is better at parkour but Ezio is a better climber. Prince has several abilities that give him an edge over Ezio in combat but Ezio is a trained assassin so he could attempt to assassinate Prince. That wouldn’t really work though since Prince would rewind time and counter any attack that could kill him.

Ezio here has free will of doing parkour where prince of Persia game isn't open world or semi open world game that he can't do anything at will.

lets say that the prince can control time if he get hit by ezio but ezio not stupid, he knows when some thing is not right after multiple attempts of the prince after each time is killed. more importantly, like you said the range weapons can happen any where and any time thus which include the hidden blade, the prince cannot reverse time after he got hit. like literally, one good hit and he is out, more than that, ezio is also is master of combat in both break defense and counter attack, which means the prince stands little chance when face ezio in close quarter combat.

@@creepylawyer7580 yep, i know that he has it too, but consider this: ezio has years or even decades of trainning and honning his skills in both assassination and combat which means he know something is wrong if the prince use the sand cyclones and even more is that if not in combat, ezio can easily kill the prince with range weapons like crossbow, pistol or even poison darts if he wants. genarally in speaking is the prince is already dead before the fight can begin, even so ezio can stun him with smoke bombs or other kind of bombs which make the prince useless against him. further more if ezio face the prince close combat, the prince cant know when ezio will use the hidden blade to finish him instantly, in other words that the prince cant use the time reverse due to that he just cant know when the next time if he get killed with the same time of same method or not. in conclusion, the prince is totally loose to this fight. i have played both ezio triology and also the prince of persia sand of time thing so i know that the prince cant stand a chance with ezio with both years of experience and unknown of knowledge of skills.

He went to a cursed island went past through all the monsters and traps and even killed the empress of time and also an immortal monster who's been hunting him to kill him since the events of sands of time, the prince recovered his babylone and killed the invincible vizier to save his people. Finally powers wise, if we go to his sand abilities in warrior within he is able to instantly stop time and immensely increase his attack speed in what is called "the ravager of time" where he will be able to slice his victim to pieces before they know it and of course other abilities( just search pop warrior within sand powers and you'll see everything)
In terms of physique, the prince is known to be quite agile and has flexibility plus his honed skills in swordsmanship as he fought many wars with his father.

AC parkour was extention of Prince of Persia (that "newer" version. In older wasn't, and "Sands of time"+others we're supposed to create flexible thief. Kind of Sinbad version)
1st tried in Tomb Raider (mean about games of mid '90) Prince came in 2000,and AC in '09 (Brotherhood in '11)
And THAT was GREAT gameplay, sadly ruined with (good)Odyssey.

Revelations sounded too fast🤔 Because Unity still has mixed comments(gadgets,firearms-like in AC3 "dodge bullets"🤦,lack of multiplayer) "Rogue"(have good potential, but killing assassins players didn't like. Although is nice concept,surely wasn't 1st such case on both sides) and is small like Revelations ("rescue" for needed time for newer era but same spirit)

I think prince can surpass every assassins in the game, compared to every assassin prince is from another timeline were he faced enemies and demons with super natural powers and strength with almost immortal powers, i never saw none of the assassin completed parkour through butchering booby traps like prince,when i played warrior within i terribly failed and got confused with many levels of walkthroughs, for many reasons i hate prince of persia because its weird gameplay, but enjoy assassincreed gameplay more 🙂

So with that the prince is from another universe the apple goes through the assassins timeline, not the princes so even with the apple of eden he would still have a hard time because the prince has beat all kinds of monsters and people who had the power to control time and mind control and stuff. It was a good thought but the prince would still win.

@Its Blitz Gaming okay but whatever happens Battle EXP or combat styles and plus gadgets/new technology weapons is on ezio, because ezio defeated ertnite templar best agents guards when he helped to mario control another cities, after defeated enchanted Rodrigo Borgia, fighted against Cesar, conquered Rome(all castles burned by ezio), after recruit normal people until they reached rank assassin, in revelations in contract missions controlled multiple cities, became mentor, and about gadgets or weapons, ezio has gun prince didn't even know what is gun, ezio has strongest Altair sword and brutus around which have enough durability to survive any battle, double hidden blade, crossbow, prince didn't know how that works, and in combat battle ezio can dodge any attack easily or counter attack, heavy weapon throw and Disarm attack type, or can just jump back to enemy and instant kill, whatever happens ezio has more great experience in battles than prince, and if there will be revelation version ezio has many type bombs and many of prince didn't know about that bombs, and that all need more experience than to fight against monsters, because it's more harder to control and defeat full rome guardians than fight against monsters with time rewind ability

Ezio doesn't have any dodging abilities?? you outta your mind or smth?? is it your first time playing AC?? BOI, EZIO IS LITERALLY THE BATMAN OF AC AND CAN PRETTY MUCH DODGE ATTACKS
Ezio can infinitely dodge all attacks since ac2, where he learned how to dodge attacks and soo ezio can dodge any attacks in ac brotherhood too, and not only dodge ezio can do "sword Slice" defense in ac brotherhood, you can try, do this in ac brotherhood Fights, get in guards fightings, place buttons which allows to dodge any attacks, but place very early, keep hold buttons which defenses ezio with sword, after if someone guards attacks with normal sword, ezio just Slices it, 0 damage but it works only after ezio is ready to dodge something but noone attacks soo after ezio has 100 chance to Slice any way sword attacks, but is not working on special attacks, like spears or heavy weapons, that special abilities can't be sliced, ezio can just dodge against that

Lol. By comparing the gameplay of two different games judging who is better at parkour and who would win? Don't you think that it is unfair? If we judge by gameplay then Kratos a literal God of War can't even jump in new games, does it mean that he can't jump? Prince can do every move Ezio can and does it much better and he fights superhuman beings regulary. There is no contest. Prince would destroy 20 Ezios at the same time.
But u can only enjoy the prince of Persia for 5 Hours not as a journey of ezio
