  • The Prince of Persia franchise has always been the best series in Ubisoft’s catalogue. There is something truly exciting about playing in a fantastical recreation of ancient Persia that you cannot get anywhere else. The series is quite old, and is one of the earliest examples of parkour-based platforming in gaming. Here are some fun facts and trivia you didn’t know about the games!

    Nixian Channel Description:
We’re lifelong video game enthusiasts with a passion for showing the world how our favorite hobby has grown with us, from individual series to industry-wide retrospectives.
We put significant time and creative effort into each one of our videos, including research, digging into archives, recording voiceovers, and editing. Every video takes as many as 10 hours to produce, because we strive to give our fans consistent, high-quality content.
Our popular “Evolution of...” series goes far beyond simply presenting gameplay footage. We take the time to show how a video game property - its gameplay, character designs, graphics, sound direction, etc. - have evolved over time. We include unique voiceover work on each video to enhance the viewing experience.
People have been playing video games for decades. In that time, we’ve gone from moving a white line up and down to block a moving pixel, to participating in full-fledged, painstakingly rendered real-time battles with people all over the world. We help older gamers look back on how these experiences have changed throughout their lives, and new gamers to understand the broader context of the series they’re playing for the first time today.
The video game medium never stops growing, and we’ll never stop chronicling its evolution.
Editing and voice-over were made by me.

Warrior within was the darkest one. The metal ost, the blood, dismemberment, color palette, the feeling of complete loneliness (no companions or voices inside your head), the anxiety of being followed by the dahaka... My favorite game from the trilogy.

Regardless of the public image of Prince of Persia 2008, this game was like walking through an animated piece of Art for me; its an unfathomable experience that can only be realized by actually playing the game.
The world designing made it feel like an rectangular geometry where you always get back to the center of it.
The feeling of an isolated utopia or distopia (based on the story progressing) where your only companion is a beautiful lady, a genuinely fitting character, alot of chemistry, with the air romantic, and interactions based on teasing and immersing dialogues...
Fantastic follow-up story, art design, sound design (loved the isolated echoing effect over everything!) and music.

For me only the artstyle was amazing.
Personally I absolutely hate hub world level design simply because I want a progression and comming back to the central hub after completing one area seems like a regression rather than a progression... especially in a story driven game like this.
Not to mention the prince was a twat and sounded and mostly acted like a jersey shore douchebag.
Elika was powerfull enough to literally save the prince from falling to certain death, but needed to jump on his back when climbing....wtf was that?
Except for the gfx and art which were utterly beautiful, the rest of the game felt totally disjointed.
They had good ideas but were not able to create a cohesive package.

"Unmatchable by any game" is a huge exaggeration. A lot of developers put their heart and soul in the game they are working on. God of War series by Santa monica is also a good example, Valve too, i mean when Valve was developing Half-Life nobody belived in them and it was basically a newly formed studio with no big record to speak of making a triple A level title. And they ended up blowing everyone out of the water, Half-Life was a huge commercial and critical success, it is even considered to be one of the best games of all time by many.

Warrior within and 2 thrones has the best fight technique of all games, you'll never see anything like that we can make combination of attacks ourselves, we can strangle and opponent, throw him, slit his throat and so on feels, so fluid, its feels so organic, no game has ever given that level of freedom to the gamer, POP unmatched ❤

The commercials for Sands of Time is what got me so interested in Prince of Persia. I loved Sands of Time, and it will be in my list of top 5 games of all time for a long time. I enjoyed Warrior Within and Two Thrones as well because they kept adding new amazing mechanics to the games, and 2008 was such a fun game as well. The art style was different but I enjoyed it a lot. I really loved that the platforming, puzzles and story was the main focus for it instead of combat. I just wished they kept the series going as 3d platformers instead of going 1000% in on Assassin’s Creed. But then again, I’m glad they didn’t because annual Prince of Persia games would ruin it like it did for Assassin’s Creed

I was 2 when the first Prince of persia came out. I remember playing it at my friends house when I was 4. I was absolutely rubbish at it. Always died instantly 😆
The fallen king was the next Prince of persia I played. A very good game. Loved the story and loved the ending.

Playing the first three P of P was the best time of my childhood
    Along with other awesome games
It's not just prince of persia that lost himself but the most of gaming industry as well
As you can see now a days
Still really good games out there but
The lack of dedication mostly from
The publishers is affecting the games big times
    I didn't mention developers
Because there's no way any developer
Would want to release an unfinished
Game after working on it for years
    It's mostly publishers or investors
    want their slice
So they push the studios to do at as fast as possible and release it

My first POP game was warriors within on PSP. I was around 10 years old and 1 day i remember went to store and my mom bought it. I loved that game so much but never completed because i did not know where to go. I came to 1 specific part where i did not know where to go or what to do and then i quit. I bought it on PC and as soon as i get better one and not loud one i will play it.

  • @georgewbushcenterforintell147

This game was really tough to play on keyboard on PC .the trick is timing and counting your steps . I never played on console or the new versions .

The problem?... We can't go further than the black room at the very beggining.
After many days, we decide to return it.

I really like fight stunts and sound-tracks of Warrior-Within. Plus the story line is amazing.
Whatever Dahaka spoke was gibberish to me. Some say he spoke in reverse.
The world environment and story line in Forgotten Sands are great.
