    New to coffee and this happening confirms my theory on which of the coffees I have are a darker roast. Love the diversity in coffee, thank you for the information!

    Left sample is 1st crack then end point
    Right sample is 2nd crack then end point
    More crack is bigger in volume

    Which has more caffeine? Lighter in color or weight?

      Lighter roasts usually have a little bit more caffeine since they’re denser than dark ones!

    you mean to say by quantity of beans after roasting dark is more then light is less amount of beans, so how it's possible? please make a video for explain this,..!!

      I'll certainly make a video about this, thank you for the suggestion!
      For quick clarification, what I mean is: when beans are roasted, they lose oil and density. So, darker roasts weigh much less than lighter ones, which is why we usually recommend going by weight and using scales, as opposed to using volumes (cups, tablespoons, etc.) as a measure. Hope that helps!
