I never understood that concept. In reality, taking out either Phil or Ben would be rather easy. That's the one thing EE does poorly, it can't even pretend that plot armor isn't a thing.

Sharon and Dennis weren’t biologically related by blood, Sharon was adopted.
Sharon and Zack are biological half- siblings as their dad was Gavin.
Sharon was adopted by Angie and Den; Dennis was the bio son of Den so they were not related. Zack and Sharon have the same biological father.
