Hope you enjoyed watching episode 3 of our Assam food, travel and culture series. This is part of our 18 day Assam Tour. Thanks for your time.
Aizwong and Jawha are the two best qualities of rice that is mass consumed here.
They are a bit on the expensive side but the taste is tbh worth the price.
The price increases with the aging process.
H B I don’t think so that rice quality is good
No it's not the best, they are just the best among the ones which are mass consumed.
Right I am talking about the vioeds not hurt any person religious

Harishji, one thing I have noticed that generally people do not bother to meet and talk to common people but you always try to meet them and talk to them with some respect. I am impressed to see how nicely you talked to the farmers. Maybe you have realised that the common people are the real backbone of our country.
A nice episode, very enjoyable and I am looking forward for your Manas episode.
thank you so much

Who foolish said assam is not a part of our country! Actually Assam is dense cultural and heritage site n lots of things. The people from every corner of india have a dream to visit that loving state.
@@pitambarabagarti408 M living in Delhi since 6 years I meet such type of ppl here who thinks Assam is in Bangladesh. I have met some idiots here. Highly educated but no wisdom.
How can be that, sir. Assam is gateway to northeast. Everyone should visit these beautiful places. Love from Delhi.

I used to have this bhujia and bundi combo snack when I was a child. This is one of the best evening snacks in Assam! I miss this delicacy..... I think this is started by Marwari and Gujarati restaurants in and around Guwahati. Good to see you enjoying and showcasing this though your vlogs.
Mene aap ka assam visit ka almost sab episode dekha.. Kal se aaj tak... And mujhe bht bht accha laga, aap ne har jagah ka food and tast appreciate kiya isiliye thanks.. 👍👍👍

It's not Assami. Either Assamese or Axomiya.
Hi... I am from assam. Watched you video for first time today. This morning when I opened CZcams your vdo popped up and I started watching and since then I have been watching each episodes back to back. Can't take a break. But I must say. U really have got into the roots of Assam. Not all, infact , any explorer gets such opportunities or do take the effort to get into the roots, ur visit to chandubi and having authentic food in a local family was amazing, seems like u have good connections who arranged that for you, moreover why not, u are such a kind , gentle human being and curious to know everything that people also come forward for you. As people always like when you take interest in them, want to learn about them. Thumbs up to you. So nice watching ur videos. All the best
HAPPY BIHU TO ALL FROM GUWAHATI , ASSAM
I am very suprized being so far away from each other gujarat and assam shares same test cravings. In gujarat we do ganthiya and bundi.

It was an absolute raw and pure content Mr. Bali. Delightful
You will find the finest rice varieties in Assam.
Also we don't use much masalas.. in masala we generally include ginger, garlic, chilli and turmeric. Authentic assamese food is very healthy & light for stomach 😊
Sir the way you have explored Sualkuchi , Hajo and Nalbari was simply awesome. Yout generosity and genuineness have touched my heart. We Assamese people will remain ever grateful to you . Thank you sir . God bless you. Lots of love from Awesome Assam.

Dal and Rice is staple in Assam. Both Lunch and Dinner includes Rice and Dal and one Sabji for most common people of assam, Depending on what one can afford Sabji could be 2 or more and one can also add fish or meat. Mustard oil is predominant cooking/edible oil in Assam, Mustard is locally cultivated so it is affordable for most people than refine or other variety of oil.
great to hear from you... Dal is like compulsory i noticed there... every meal will have dal and rice
Apko bhut bhut thanks hajo anne ki leye,,, ,, I Am from Hajo ,,
Finally, someone spoke about the Ijung rice. I appreciate it very much Harish sir! In fact, you correctly mentioned the biggest quality of Ijung - you can eat a full plate of it and yet not feel heavy! I recently went to Guwahati and bought some rice for myself . Keep exploring and discovering the hidden gems of the Northeast and India.
Ijung - very tasty and it feels so light on stomach... you don't feel heavy at all.....
@@visa2explore Ijung is one of the Expensive rice varieties in Assam.

Being a Guwahatian, just loved the Assam Series.
Your work is true to your channels name. It is clearly evident of how meticulously you do your research on your subject when you make a video on it. You are truly an inspiration sir. Hello Mr. Bali,
Your videos of Kolkata, Sikkim and now Assam prove that spice levels decrease as you go east. Spices were less to moderate in Kolkata (West Bengal) but very little in Sikkim and Assam.
Thanks for the validation.
These shops are real gems in India...
Kay bat sir ji awesome, waiting 4 Manash National park Video 😍😍😀👍👍👍👌👌👌👌
Very nice tour of Assam, Assam is very nice I have not expected this one of beauty. I sure I will go there
bell metal items is a sign of tradition in Assam..
Assam superb.. 👌 from Karnataka.. Thanks Uncle for exploring Assam..
Hello Harish Ji ! Namaskaar !
Again an awesome video...Kyaa bataaun...I am so happy to know so much similarities in Assamese and Odia cuisine...The Baingan pitika you had is a regular which we do have almost every alternate days or so...And I am sure you must have liked the idea of having bhujiya and boondi together😁...it's a regular snack for us...I love it...If you liked Assamese cuisine for it's simplicity, then definitely you would like Odia cuisine as well as it is also very low on spices...and Mustard is a predominant ingredient for us as well...If you have planned for Odisha in winters then I would urge you to come during Kaartik Purnima...as You would get a chance to see the famous Bali Jatra(Yatra) in Cuttack which is one of it's kind and one of the largest fairs...Sellers from all over the country come to showcase their products which are both traditional and customized in nature...And as I had related earlier, the most ideal time to watch the migratory birds in Chilika Lake is winters...you would get to see thousands of their species👍...
Thank you and your team🙏...Keep up the good work... People like you we can owe as you show the true essence of Unity in Diversity, India in it's entirety...
great to hear from you thank you for kind inputs..... yes will plan during winters

I am so impressed that you actually visited the fields and spoke to the farmers. This way the farmers get motivated, we Indians can see the large heart that the farmers have and also the hard work that they put in to make sure that we receive a continuos supply of food grains round the year. Keep going Harish! Would love to meet you as soon as possible.

I don't think that any other youtuber( agricultural special) would have shown paddy farming.
U sow seed for 20 days to get sapling.
Then it is planted in land for two and half month untill it is ripe.
It is sown in muddy soil and needs moisture and a lot of water.
From punjab to west bengal july october only one crop is sown.
In favourable climatic condition two is common. In a very small portion of india even 3 crops are taken.
खाना सबको आता है,जिनको भी खाना आता हैं,उनको उगाने वाले का परिश्रम दिखना चाहिए।
