In today's episode, titled "The Struggles, The Fame and the Pressure," we sit down with reggae artist Pressure Busspipe to explore his journey from facing family reprimands and restrictive rules to emerging as a celebrated musician.
Pressure opens up about his struggles with balancing life, education, and a burgeoning passion for music. He shares the emotional weight of financial pressure, the support of influential peers like a female rapper named Talent, and the drive to succeed despite numerous obstacles.
We'll delve into Pressure's upbringing, marked by his parent's separation, moving to the United States, and the influence of his uncle's teachings of responsibility and self-sufficiency. We'll also hear about his return to the Virgin Islands, navigating life independently in a wooden house while pursuing music and earning his high school diploma.
Throughout the episode, we'll highlight key moments that defined Pressure's career, such as his collaboration with producer Dean, the success of "Stand Up for Your Rights," and the transformative release of "Love and Affection." I am so proud of you and your accomplishments, Pressure aka Delyno Brown! Known you since Rising Stars Sifu Days back on the stage performing goat horns to your ensembles masterpieces with John Hughes and Kwabena. I am glad to know much of my volunteer work with Ms. Georgia Francis and our Woodwind Quintet could inspire so many. It was John Cahill French horn, Georgia Bassoon and Contrabassoon, Ron Fane Clarinet, Austin Venzen Flute! It was awesome, just like YOU! Brother King Brownie was a good friend! Met him when I first visited my mom, Papa Nick's main squeeze, a teacher in the trenches of AFT with your Mom. Sisters in unity. Love this interview so much, sharing!!! No Limitations is your track I used to play for guests to my studio in Los Angeles, CA. I would big you up to my Third World brethren. Love "People Of A Different Color ", you and AJ Brown compliment each other well! Congratulations on a next Grammy Nomination. Keep shining, we love to sing your songs at JESS. Please come visit us again, soon! We love and need you now to encourage them on the right course from jump street! Love alone, General, keep it positive and fresh. Who Jah bless, no one curse. 🎉❤

I'm in my mid 40s, so I grow up in the 80s and 90s. My father told me about Brownie playing drums for Milo and the Kings back in the days and how versatile he was with his drumming style. Honestly, his wit and comedy on WSTA is what I known him best for and Lord knows I spent my summers playing strike-a-man, eating mango, and waiting for 12:30pm to listen to "Walter and Brownie". His voice, to me, was synonymous with St Thomas carnival. Hearing anyone else voice in the Lionel Roberts Stadium during carnival was blasphemous.
I had a hard time understanding why Pressure was so different to his father. I knew about him since his days in the Star Lion Family. I figure it was just a phase when it came to the reggae vibe. Seeing how much he has garnered success and stepped out from Brownie shadow makes me respect him a whole lot more. This interview was as informative as it was educational.
Big up Kyle and Redman...alyo man is ambassadors too. Keep doing what you're doing. I'm a nobody, but I'll continue to vouch for you guys and advertise the legitimacy of just how much you guys promote back home. 💪🏾💯🇻🇮
