Actions speak louder than words, and the fact that the Ike retreated so fast and so far away from the battle zone likely means that the Yemenis scored a hit or two, destroying jets on the deck and possibly killing and/or injuring personnel. Extremely hard to sink a US super-carrier, but plenty of soft targets on the deck.
