THE QUICKEST AUDI S5 IN THE WORLD - 4.2l V8 SINGLE TURBO - 1300bhp

- Patryk Walke from WALKEmotorsport was over from Poland for the Doorslammers event at Santa Pod Raceway competing in the True Street Class in his 2008 Audi S5.
The engine has been built from three different 4.2l V8 engines, using the best and strongest parts from each. Nothing has been forged. Using a Garrett G42 Turbo it produces 1170bhp at 1.7 bar and with an added shot of NOS, produces 1300bhp. It runs on 100 octane pump fuel with meth injection.
I think their current PB is an 8.60 @ 166mph. At Santa Pod they managed to get down to an 8.84 @ 163mph. As far as we know this is the quickest Audi S5 in the World.

Never heard that. That's the first thing you need to upgrade when boosting audi V8.
@@noaht5191 No the first thing that needs upgrading most older Audi engines such as any of the old 1.8t, 2.7tt, 4.2 from the early 2000s is just the rods. All the pistons can hold upwards of 600hp from factory. Im not sure about any of the chain driven 4.2 FSI, I'm only familiar with the belt driven engines
It’s not the piston to worry about it the rods , but MAXSPEED makes it easy ,now timing the engine another story
Right now car runs over 1500hp. Best 1/4 is 8.53s.

these cars are hidden gems that the car community doesnt acknowledge, i've seen videos of these beating tuned m4 and sounding better while doing it, i believe i know exactly why audi didnt do turbo for the 4.2 s5, because if they did there wouldnt be a need for the r8..
1300bhp and nothing forged? All stock parts and internals? Hard to believe but I respect it for sure. We definitely need a more in depth video on this build. Not too much aftermarket support and info in b8 community.

S5 4.2’s come with forged internals from the factory so no need to really mess with anything in there other than valve spings for the revs and cams.
Porsche turbo engines are built stronger… it’s a vw parts catalog waiting for your build
@@e-speclivee-speclive3977 They share nothing with he 4.2 FSI though, Porsche uses their own V8s. like the 4.5l and 4.8l, unless your talking about the newer 4.0tt, those have been around since the 2010s D4 A8, and have been used in the Q8, RSQ8, S6, S7, RS6, RS7, Urus, Im not sure about any of the Porsches or VW if they may use them.
Anything done to the trans to hold this kind of power? Obviously the clutch isnt stock. Just curious.

MTM mounted a supercharger on one of the first R8 V8 4.2FSI (the classic R8 with manual transmission), not quite sure but around 800hp. Quite robust Audi machine that V8

Finally a beautiful s5 b8 with a perfect setup I wonder how much you can get from audi 4.2 when it's fully built
from their interview, they've only tampered with the pistons.. but they're still stock.. just like everything else🥲

There's plenty of automatic supercharge V6 cars out there, but I'm trying to find 4 point tgoogle 6 speed all-wheel dri've period so I was leaning towards super charging. But again, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

No. The R8 V8 has the upgraded version of this motor (TFSI). This is the FSI 4.2 which is much slower in stock form but seems to be able to handle more power.

The R8 has essentially same engine as the RS4 B7 just with dry sump. The S5 V8 is completely different from these.
The r8 v8 acts more like a v10 but with two less pistons for example it will rev high and give more compression
@@augustortiz Theres no such thing as an Audi TFSI 4.2. Only turbo 4.2 they had came from the 4.2 TDI A8 D3. Unless you want to count the 2003 RS6 aswell but that was 4.2 Bi-Turbo, no direct injection, that was a MPI motor.

Quick question as you would most likely know, is the 4.2L v8 from the S5 the same engine has the RS5? I can't seem to find any differences other then bit more power
@QUIKCaspa The RS5 was a completely new developed engine. Same displacement, just new technology, allowing it to rev round to 8300rpm. Not sure on all the differences though.
