I just finished reading this. It was a very good book.
I’m not able to listen to the radio much during the day but damn, Terri Gross just asks the best questions. I used to be able to listen almost every day. Great show. I miss it!
I hear him say "pained conversations" in 2016 and the only thing I think is: So your father sold the entire country into 4 years of utter garbage, and 3 years of aftermath, because god forbid you let people make a choice for their own body that, if you were actually honest with yourself, you would want to make on your own.

Tim was disappointed in his clergy father because he voted for Trump.His father had always told him "politics is a exercise in character" . Hi Tim. I am a Canadian observing this. Your father had a choice between Hillary and Trump. Both have questioned character. He made the wise choice of Trump over crooked Hillary.
