This entire playstyle is technically easier from top lane. The whole point is to leach experience and gold until you can split your maiden. Top Yorick already gets high income and experience from being a solo laners, and he has a designated lane to push. You won't set anyone behind by splitting r because that's where you would normally be. Whereas as jungle, I'm sacking my top lane to get the play off. It will just be a bit weird to get used to but still very strong.
This will be my next video, but generally either do a full clear or a 5 camp clear into early gank. The golden rule I seem to run into is never verticle jungle when their jungle can camp your bot side. So if you're top team, never start red if there's a threat that he plays into your blue buff. The worst thing possible is to be forced to run to his blue and he camps your bot side.
How do you feel about swapping HoB+Hydra for DH+Hubris when aiming for serylda's build? In theory you can play back and get kills+DH stacks from across the map, right?
Hubris pushes the build very much toward Lethality orientated, and that doesn’t fit my playstyle at all. You could technically get DH and hubris stacks globally, but to get to that stage of the game while pushing for a lethality build will be difficult. Some people make lethality work in the jungle, i just can’t do it.
Hey Ninetales, im itsMii, a Yorick player since s3. In your last video i read this comment from you: "How the hell do you get away with Yorick support lol. It's so hard to even get into game, so many people troll and flame me when I tried it. It has so much potential definitely but it needs a way to get through the early game without your adc having a brain meltdown. The support item is so broken on us tho" I would like to test how this works on the botlane. Do you perhaps have an item and rune setup that you can recommend to me?
I would probably say: - support item start, evolve it into the magic burst damage one. - cleaver rush. - liandrys next. - shojin third. - last two are whatever your team needs. But we can't exactly split maiden without stealing farm, so this style doesn't exactly have a place. I still think it's got a place with E and W max and playing a peel in a teamfights.
I do! www.twitch.tv/Ninetales Right now i can't stream because we've had some issues at home, but i'm trying to post as much youtube content as i can until i can go live again.
I don't think q or E max really makes too much of a difference. Q max seems to be much more consistent for early game trades, E max seems to be punishing if you miss it in early trades. I think a combination of both, perhaps q to 3 then E max could be best.
Are you sure? It won't actually show on the tooltip until you cast your first r ability. If it doesn't work then it's been bug fixed. Id be very surprised if it was fixed though.
Can confirm, apparently this has been bug fixed in the last patch. Shojin is still working as you said, so I’ll need to rethink my runes when i get back. That’s actually kinda crazy because I’ve been playing the entire new patch thinking its working - massive placebo effect lol
@@NinetalesOCE Would the cash back and JOAT work instead now? I think u mentioned that. And would it now then be more smart to use profane instead of stride because of the extra AH? Pick the AS Rune and build profane to get a bit of AS back for the loss on stride?
Interesting. Personally, I've been really liking this build: Blue > 1st: Cleaver > T2 Boots > 2nd: Shojin > 3rd: Steraks > 4th: Bloodmail > 5th: Jak'Sho Phase Rush: Nimbus Cloak, Celerity, Waterwalking. Inspiration: Magical Footwear, Approach Velocity. Cleaver + Shojin + Steraks is such a great core three, giving you a ton of damage and surviveability. Phase rush is great for escaping, or chasing down enemies.
That's very similar to the build I used to run too. Nothing wrong with cleaver first, it's a terrific investment item. I prefer to play split the maiden, so building full bruiser doesn't really do much to help that. But if you're playing brute force teamfights etc, your build should be good. Just saying the jaksho doesn't make much sense there because you have no resistance items. You would be better swapping steraks with a deaths dance to get a bit more benefit from the jaksho passive since it only works on bonus armour/Mr
@@NinetalesOCE Sure, Death Dance would benefit Jak'Sho by giving an extra 12 armour, but it wouldn't benefit any other part of the build. Going steraks means all my other bruiser items help buff the shield, and Sterak's 400 HP work with Bloodmail, giving me an extra 8 AD,. Honestly I think steraks is just a much better item. Level 18 Yorick gets 74 AD (+8 AD Bloodmail) + 400 HP + 20 Tenacity + shield. 3 items its 1k shield, 4 items its a 1.4k shield, and 5k its a 1.6k shield. While death dance gives 22 less AD, 40 armour (so it won't affect AP damage), and a somewhat medicore passive. Going Jak'Sho 5th is just a nice resistance item to be harder to kill, but theres some other good options, like force of nature, guardians angel, and warmogs
Dude lookin' good 9Tails, I'll definitely try spamming this next games Which champ does he feel most similar to with these builds btw? I imagine R - E ghouls on Lethality feels like a scuffed single target Shyv R - E Just in case he gets banned in draft and I need someone similar
In top lane, I’ve always found Illaoi and Yorick very similar. For Jungle, there is really no comparison. The clear is entirely different to everyone except maybe shaco? And the playstyle is agree is very shyvana, which is funny because her build at the moment is Shojin > liandries too!
I really like sundered sky rush on yorick jungle as i find myself scrapping alot with foes over objectives and the healing and crit is quite nice do you think is bad?
I used to like sundered sky pre nerf, but I've always had the mentality where I stop using items once they get nerfed (even if they might be good anyway). I think sundered sky is a great item, I just don't like items that are tied to Yorick so I generally gravitate to ghoul heavy builds. Sundered sky is a Yorick heavy item so it's only ever been used in a full bruiser build.
@NinetalesOCE what build would u recommend for a beginner who wants good Goul dmg and being bruiser? Sofar have been using sundered sky. Eclipse, black cleaver, but feel like it could be optimized better
@ninetalesOCE how about making 1 video for the new learners? maybe teaching how to measure when to fadeaway a camp while let ghoul finish the camp n u start to walk away? sth like that
Gonna cover all of this in a soon ish video, but for the moment, I recommend at least getting q to 3 and then maxing whatever you want. Q3 e5 is good, so is q3 e5 w3 etc. There's just so much to cover that I'll probably look to Collab with a jungle CZcamsr to have them cover the editing for it since I have no idea what I'm doing.
Go the support upgrade that procs the aoe magic burst, and rush cleaver first item. I think you could probably build a normal yorick build with cleaver/liandry’s if you can somehow get through laning phase lol.
@@Delalb09 both maiden and ghouls apply the liandrys burn and benefit from the percentage damage increase. The goal is the maiden benefits from liandrys 100% while splitting, so she's at full power dealing strong dps.
dude im 1 minute in i had no idea about the red jungle item resetting after killing a camp with ghouls. THIS WHOLE TIME. i always thought it was shit i didnt even read it
@Ninetails to your reply from the last video. This is pretty much what I run too. Shojin, Profane, Liadre, Grudge after buffs and Hollow. Only difference is the runes. Personal choice but I prefer the first strike with elexirs, free boots and even more haste, with cheap shot and ultimate hunter. Grudge also ensure cheap shot dmg almost every time. Reasoning I perfersonally prefer and think First strike is better is because it pair better with E and Lethality. Land and E= massive damage, burn and free money for even more snowball on top of the free boots and you get maiden lvl 2 like 1.30 minute earlier depending on the flow of the game. Most games that go past 30 minutes I have enough gold to swap out first boots for a straight up Zephyr.
thanks bro now its my time to r̶u̶n̶ i̶t̶ d̶o̶w̶n̶ shine !

how about as support

TLDR:
First 3 Items: Red/Blue jg item > Profane/Stride > boots > Shojin > Liandry's/Hollowed Radiance
Final 3 Items: Black Cleaver (if bruiser), Serylda's Grudge (if lethality), Hollowed Radiance/Liandry's, GA, Steraks Gage
Runes 1: HOB > Cheap Shot > Eyeball Collector > Ultimate Hunter | Legend:Haste > Cut Down
Runes 2: Conqueror > Triumph > Legend: Haste > Cut Down | Eyeball Collector > Ultimate Hunter
Is there any reason for you not to take Riftmaker after Liandry's? I mean, considering how the passive effects stack.
what the point of having liandry? only E has ap ratio. does maiden ghoul have interaction with liandry?
