    Hot Tip! ~ Culturing time can take somewhere between 18 to 24 hrs more or less. Room temp plays a major role in the timing just as it would in other cultured products. When you begin to see some “pockets” of air in the thickness of the kefir you know it’s cultured well🤗

      That was something I was going to ask, generally. Thx

    This is wonderful! Years ago I cultured kefir milk and loved it. You have reminded me how much I loved the milk. Going to get started again! Thank you for the detailed process. I can’t wait to see the Kefir milk cheese video!😊

    Oh I'm so glad you did this video on kefir. I knew it was good for your gut, but wasn't completely sure why and how. I even buy the flavored to drink. Thanks for all your wealth of knowledge. Always lovely to you. God bless.😊🧡🌻🍂

      Thank you Misha! I love drinking it and it has helped my health in so many ways. God has provided so many good things for us if we just take part in it. I put a link in the description box to a trusted source for kefir grains if you decide to try your hand at it at home. God bless ya sweet friend!❤️

    Very informative presentation - clear and concise. How much probiotic powder do you give your kefir fermenting jar?

    • @LittleCountryCabin
      @LittleCountryCabin  Před 18 dny

      @sherolynmorrisey4741 Thank you so much for the kind words! The scoop that comes with the powder is about 1/2 tsp and I use that per pint jar. Have a blessed evening ❤️

    Wondering if you can drink the milk the kefir grains have been stored in for the week. Is it still kefir just a slow fermentation. 🐌

    • @LittleCountryCabin
      @LittleCountryCabin  Před 9 měsíci

      You sure can. If it’s too tart you might share some with you chickens or dog/cat🤗

    Can kefir grains be cut in half. Mine have grown.

      My apologies for not answering sooner😊. Yes, you absolutely can divide your grains. That’s a wonderful sign they are healthy. I like to share my surplus with friends. Thank you for asking a great question. Have a blessed day❤️
