3:20 is probably my favorite shot. The orange goes so well with the white! I can see how people might not be fond of the plant though. Still, if I ever got the chance, I'd grow this in a heartbeat!

I bought two this year ( Australia so waiting on blooms to come in) but had watched other people talk on this rose and say how disappointed they were with it. I almost gave it way, thinking this will be a dud. That footage you took of the rose has now made me excited to see this beauty in my own yard. Thanks xx
My heart aches for you every time you hold Summer Song blooms then let go, Kimberley ... :) Awww. Like unrequited love :) I hope some day you can obtain it. It won't thrive in my So CA weather so I'll settle for Lady Emma Hamilton (w/glorious fragrance) and Boscobel which has salmon color sometimes before it turned pinkish... TY so much for the video of DA gardens

Why doesn’t David Austin offer Summer Song rose in the USA?

I have this rose. It does not do well at all In hot or humid states. The blooms will be super small and also droop neck. Probably the reason why DA pulled it off the US website.
@@TheRoseGeek i remember it being on the US website for only a couple of years and then it was gone. In cooler weather, the rose is really gorgeous in person and its has a strong fragrance of bananas and tea which..im not really a fan (i like to eat bananas, but not sniff them, lol) of but everyone else seem to really love the smell, lol. I agree! i hope they create a better version of summer song!

The reason why it never comes to the US is because it doesn’t grow well anywhere in the states

I heard it's difficult to keep it healthy because it's afraid of strong sunshine?
@@TheRoseGeek haha, I have no ideas. I just bought one couple weeks ago. And it’s still relatively cool in Vancouver.
It is. Mine just withered to a dirty pale orange in the heat and flower stayed 1 day. The flower has soo much petals it’s heavy and drooped down.
This has become a David Austin advertising channel.
Many of us are new to DavidAustin here in the states so we appreciate the many varieties the company offers.
