    I purchased my Airoh from Chromeburner.com out of the Netherlands. This is not an affiliate link and I'm not necessarily recommending Chromeburner but I was happy with the experience I had. Be careful if you're shopping for an Airoh helmet in the US. There are scams and fakes out there.

    Looks like a nice helmet. I have always used top shelf street helmets. When I started dirt riding I purchased a cheep dirt helmet. A year later I replace it with a mid level dirt helmet. It is amazing how much more enjoyable riding is with a decent helmet.

      Yep, helmet and boots are not the places to go cheap. Thanks for watching!

    I really wanted to try an Airoh helmet when I was shopping for my last one but the no U.S. distributors kept me from it. I have a hard time finding just the right size/fit and weight and have to ship back and forth too much. It took 6 different helmets and 4 different brands before I found one I really liked. Lol. Rmatv made the process as easy as I could hope so I went the brands they carried.

      I am kind of the same way. I think I’ve tried on every helmet in Max Motorsports. I like to buy most of my stuff there but couldn’t with the Airoh. I had to take a leap of faith in this case. Thanks for watching!

      Dirt Biking with Donnie and Chase did you look at and try on the TLD SE4 Carbon? I currently own one that I purchased at Max’s and I love it. I tried on several others, including the atr2 which my buddy owns and my assessment of the ATR2 is identical to yours.

      Charles DeBardeleben I’ll take a look at that TLD the next time I’m in there. Can’t remember if I’ve tried that one or not. Thanks for watching!

    Did you order the same size as the 6d

    You bought an XL size which is what I believe I will need but it would be helpful to know your head size measurement. Mine is 60.5cm.

    • @DirtBikingwithDonnie
      @DirtBikingwithDonnie  Před 3 lety

      I'm at 59 cm and the XL Airoh is a good fit. The cheek pads were really tight at first but they have broken in well.

    How does the Airoh fit with your neckbrace?

    • @DirtBikingwithDonnie
      @DirtBikingwithDonnie  Před 3 lety +2

      It works well with my Atlas brace. It doesn’t interfere with head turns, to look to the side, etc. It does limit looking down, like when picking up the bike or something like that, because of the Airoh chin bar design but that doesn’t affect performance when riding. I think they pair well together. Thanks for watching!

    Would you add anything (to airoh helmet) after about 1 year of usage?

    • @DirtBikingwithDonnie
      @DirtBikingwithDonnie  Před 3 lety +1

      Wow, I would have never guessed I’d had the airoh that long! Time flies. The Airoh has held up well and I’m still wearing it on every ride. I really like the light weight of it. The cheek pads have broken in a lot since it was new. I’ve been thinking about getting another one, they have some really cool new designs/colors.

    I've read that Airoh sizing runs small. Is that true? Also, I am an oval/narrow head shape. I've read conflicting information online about the Airoh. Some say it's a round head fit, some say it's intermediate oval.
    Amy idea which it is and if they run a size small?

    • @DirtBikingwithDonnie
      @DirtBikingwithDonnie  Před 3 lety

      The sizing is similar to LS1 in my opinion. Maybe a bit small compared to some others. I measured my head and used the Airoh sizing guide before ordering and that worked well. My head is more round and the crown fits well. There is a very minor pressure spot on the front of my head above my forehead but I’m guessing that may be worse for someone with an oval shaped head. Thanks for watching.
