Boris Karloff....what a wonderful man he was...his daughter, Sara, and I used to correspond in the 1990s.
I walked right into a dream that I had about 10 years before. I'm a true believer in this kind of phenomenon. It was a dream come true.
Bel épisode plein de douceur et de lyrisme. A notre époque, cela fait du bien !
Things like this still happen every day and every moment,we just don't realize it!
Please tell more. Jose.
@@fastrunner3355 I will tell you it's all true we can go in and out of dimensions I know this is a year later don't worry about anyting it will all be okay
Wow! Just WOW!! Excellent episode. Thanks so much for sharing. Thank you. 👏👍💕
As a kid growjng up in the 50's and 60's, I Always liked One Step Beyond, some of the episodes would send chills down my spine!!! Never remember ever seeing this show, wish I had back then.
(LOL) You know, I hear enough about people's experience of OSB . . . that I'm starting to wonder if I could write a book entitled: "Hidden Influence: How One Step Beyond Changed America" . .
@@one-step-beyond-1959 a new book would be a good idea
@@one-step-beyond-1959 I would definitely buy the book if you write it.
@@mlp4apc Thanks for your kind words . . . but they inadvertently make me feel bad for not doing more with this CZcams channel lately. Maybe later this year . . .
They don't make them like this anymore. More's the pity. Thank you for posting.
I loved this kind of story. This unexplainable phenomena often happened in no-man land, like the ocean, the deserts, the sky where God sent rescue help someone in desperations . God is every where and in our hearts . Thank you 👍❤️
"as sure as my name is Boris Karloff!"👀
Don't Know how I missed this series when I was A little--But Ime loving --it took real talent to make these shows-thanks so much
I myself only discovered them 2 years ago. Isn't CZcams great (?)
@@one-step-beyond-1959 -- I only discovered this series about a month ago, and I am very grateful that you have uploaded and shared these episodes. Thank you.

P.S. Boris Karloff. One of the great actors of all time, an artist whose talent has made him famous and unforgettable for his presentations within the 'darker' films, and the 'dark' films (an artificial distinction since both categories define the creation of films which discuss man's fear of the Unknown and of Taboo).
Same here i never knew this show existed during my youth
Great. Love this series. Thank you do much for these amazing stories.
This happened in 1828, and it is a version of the experience Steer to the Nor'west. The Navigator is the other version which is more accurate.
These incidents happened more than once on several occasions to several different ships. Also according to 'The Navigator', this sort of incident has happened more than twice. The reason for the 'company spy' omboard 'The Navigator', was because the captain had experienced several similar incidents that had delayed his ship from delivering the cargo on schedule. When 'the spy' becomes shocked at seeing the 'same' dead man that they had previously shackled, pulled up from the water, the captain shows clearly that he had seen that sort of incident before, and that it was the reason for his cargo being delayed.
This was fantastic. It sent goose bumps over me. Quickest 25 minutes I’ve seen in a long time.
Usually no one listens to a person with a premonition....
Very good upload. Thanks for sharing.
boris karloff, was a master horror film star, love these one step beyond...
I really enjoy it. It's a shame these old tv shows are now apart of history.
And now I want to see that episode with Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy...!
I have not been aware of these episodes until recently and this episode was as good as most OSB's that I've seen. Thanks for uploading the Equivalent series.
Ben Wright, another fine English actor who frequently played Germans. And the great Boris Karloff.
Good old stories.
Neat to see Boris Karloff in this
Neat that you used the word, "neat".
Very Good Story!
I thought that was Boris Karloff but wasn't sure until he was on the ship.
Boris Great actor! It was an Angel!!!
People mistakenly refer to it as "deja vu"
What it is is PRECOGNITION!
Captain Robert Norrich played by Torin Thatcher. Prolific actor in countless roles with some of Hollywood's greatest. Active years from '33-'74.
I like this version of this particular story better.
It's nice to have a chance to compare variations on a theme . . .
Often ppl forget that there is a God and if it is not your time to go, He will make sure you'll survive... somehow...
Matey InUSA Then it wouldn't be in the 10 commandments not to murder. I do agree miracles have saved many of us from death however. 💞
There is zero evidence for any god or gods. Zero.
That is absolutely correct I have been to the other side in back if it's not your time to go you will not go that is true I would like to tell you more but I have to hold back but you are right
God is imaginary. You have been brainwashed.
Amen.
wow....thank you for this
all I can say is WOW
Thank you for the download. Nice distraction from this world for a moment in time.
So this episode is more than half a century: 65 years .❤
Our new channel explores sentiments like this . . .
GOOD EPISODE!!!
loved the attack of the mole people like introduction
So great to see the Ma Bell Logo, again.
24:40 . . .
The narrator also played on "The Bell Telephone Hour" science series
Hemo, The Magnificent!
This same episode is on The Veil hosted by Karloff. Guess they recycled it being the veil was unsold
Yes . . .
There's good reason to believe that "The Vestris", produced by Hal Roach, influenced the writing of OSB Season (1) Episode (13), "The Navigator": czcams.com/video/lVmC-9IfA6g/video.html .
@James Vickers Maybe . . . 2 different interpretations/dramatizations of one story (?)
I thought this same thing by 9:57

Loved that Boris Karloff who host Behind the Veil had a part in this...
This was apparently produced, in part, as a "pilot" episode for "The Veil" . . .
Great love it and thanks for sharing.
Glad you found it . . . and found it worthwhile.
Very good episode
Second sight! For real.
The oceans are cruel. If you're halfway across the 55 degree Atlantic and you go overboard with your 98.6 degree body it's quite a shock. A lot of people die within minutes and you'll be extremely lucky if you last 24 hours. During storms the ocean swats at you like you would if an insect was on your arm. It doesn't want you there and you get the distinct feeling that you don't belong in the domain of whales and fish. You don't have fins. Women in those days were thought to be bad luck at sea to the sailors. But people have been having premonitions throughout our history and we should pay attention to them.
lo and behold...Robert Dale Owen--credited in the opening...was very involved with The Fox Sisters and the birth of the American Spiritualist Movement which began with the rappings of murdered peddlar from Hydesville, New York in 1848...Owen was a staunch supporter of the Fox Sisters, Ann Leah, Margaret and Katie, having many seance experiences with them! Who'd a thunk it?
We all have this built inside of us very little of us know how to use it I do some times who thought of this movie new about it. Okay enough is enough thank you for sharing the video 👍🇺🇸
It's a glitch in the matrix
Bobby Pickett how cool man
Dr Brahm from Get Smart.
❤👍
I'll bet David Blain could make that writing appear on the other side of that board. LOL!
Interesting. The first four masted sailing ship wasn’t built until many years after 1830
Love this series… but where did the normal host go?
great canadian director arthur hiller pre hollywood.
Could that written message "Steer North West" be Mary's automatic writing, as with mediums in trance?
Torin Thatcher and Jo Van Fleet.
Old US Coast Guard USS Eagle?
A woman on a ship in those days?
Not completely unusual if part of the Captain's family . . . (?)
All the time; Family as well as travelling. Very common, but the movies have hyped up the superstition
" ... women were often forbidden from sailing on military vessels; as for merchant ships, that was up to the captain, or the company. Some say this is because women were considered bad luck, and that having a woman on board a ship when it was at sea would anger the sea gods, bringing on horrible weather and rough water. In some cases women who were on board ship were even tossed over board in order to attempt an appeasement of the god." www.timelessmyths.co.uk/women-board-ship-bad-luck.html
Very true tapolna, but in the era of this tale, it was common for women to sail; they were long past sea gods.
Indeed! Well, the crew were pointing that out to themselves when they threatened to 'have a word' with the captain. As for old sailors' tales of 'sea gods' and the like, that was just a cover for the more prosaic reality of men's libidos on long sea voyages. Nowadays, of course, will all this LGBTAMP nonsense, it's the men who have just as much concern to protect their own rear ends as much as the women used to have to do. WHAT a shambolic world we live in! lol
Where's Newland?
@Kari M: This is not an OSB episode . . . but one of the "equivalents" that we're offering for people who like OSB.
@@one-step-beyond-1959 I remember the narrator from educational films in the 60s. Hemo, The Magnificent was one.
So, what is the name of this show that isn't OSB....?
Please read video description above . . .
Shackleton's ghost?
Not Jo Van Fleet.
who is this guy ???

@@one-step-beyond-1959 I'm really grateful you did, I wouldn't have seen these wonderful episodes if you hadn't, I'm very surprised I haven't already.

That woman is a terrible actor!
www.imdb.com/name/nm0528788/?ref_=tt_cl_t3
Not a fair comment - her character was very limited in scope, and she made a good job of her limited role. A terrible actor, but a good actress (IMO).
She was playing a terrible character and did a good job. She's a gar better actor than William Shatner is.
