There is a nice podcast from some chilean guys called "hablando de cactus" (speaking of cactus) that it is fantastic and they talk about in habitat exploration in Atacama and other places, some recent discoveries of Eriosyce species and so on.

Gary, what do you use to combat scale on cactus?
A blow torch but that doesn't help below the soil level. I would speak with a curry mystic for a more ayurvedic, systemic approach.
