I got to meet Syd Mead when he visited Rough Draft studios in Burbank Ca. He was very kind and cordial. I asked him what was it like to work with Producer Yoshinobu Nishizaki on Yamato 2520.
@@livesquad2810 He rolled his eyes and let out a sigh, we both laughed and being a Yamato fan I said yes the Japanese consider Mr. Nishizaki as the "Hollywood Producer" type. He was amazingly calm and leaned against the animation desk and we just talked about the 2520 art, I expressed that I was disappointed with the story because Yamato tends to get right with the story and character drama. That would have been the only time I'd jump for someone other then Jerry Goldsmith, John Dykstra, Douglas Trumble or Terry Gilliam.
Chartpak brand AD markers. Nearly any good well supplied art store will stock them and online. They are very "juicy" markers , they take some time to get use to using.

Wow! Need more vids of Syd Mead. Guy is beyond phenomenal!
His artwork is fantastic. In this video, he makes it look so simple to do, but not being Mr Mead and doing the art is another matter.

Most likely Chartpak, they have a numbering system.
