Driving from Schwyz (Seewen) to Altdorf (Canton Uri) over the dangerous Axenstrasse. Enjoy a road trip along the Urnersee (Lake of Uri, part of Lake Lucerne) with spectacular views of the Swiss mountains.
The Axenstrasse runs along the eastern shore of the Lake of Uri. Natural hazards such as falling rocks and traffic accidents make the road, which has been blasted into the steep rock, one of the most dangerous in Switzerland.

Axenstrasse goes by Flüelen, not thru tunnel. You missed part of the tour. In Flüelen you would’ve seen the harbour where all the cruise ships come and go and the village itself. I live in Flüelen and that’s me on the 3 wheel electric scooter! I live in a “Live” Postcard. My family got a big kick out of that. Lol, thanks so much.

You should’ve taken exit für Flüelen Dorf and you would’ve seen the rest of the lake to where it ends by harbour. I really enjoyed your video, vielen herzlichen Dank.
