- Pretty much feels like unnecessary, yet interesting changes.
Also, opening included to make up for the fact I decided against investing my time into doing anything for show A. Do like the new animated logo and border. See my channel page for more on options on seeing highlights from A.
Perks of skinny Drew Carey: The Plinko ballet. That... just worked beautifully. A big win never hurts, either. :)
I still have to say Drew looks really great with the weight loss.

I watched both episodes, and I am LOVING the new season! I miss Rich Fields, but I am not heartbroken about it; JD definately did a great job. Also, love the models having microphones on them. Rachel has such a cute voice!

Sweet stuff for the new season! New light border, animated logo look 3D-ish, & some lights in the new plinko set, including the colorful $10,000 slot.
I think we all learned a little something about Keith right at the end there.

@telewatcher89 They're acting as announcers rather than being announcers (not Rich Fields's style at all). There's currently an online petition to get him back on TPIR. 490 people have signed it so far.
Thought Keith wanted to get to know Drew intimately; however, Drew played it off cool and not cruel.

If TPIR wants to treat Rich like crap, then I hope his guest announcing gig on Wheel of Fortune is a permanent one! Rich is the only one that comes close to Charlie O'Donnell in the dollar amount winnings announcements which makes him a worthy successor.

I think you got the 2 p.m. show here. On the 11 a.m. episode, the announcement to the contestants was that they were "the first four contestants on Season 39 of The Price Is Right!"
@TheColorPaul Rich Fields did NOT quit! Mike Richards fired him becauce Richards wanted an improv comic to be the announcer to make the show more like a variety show within a game show.
He is MISSED on national TV.

I like the updated look of Plinko, but they should have kept the old school egg crate number readout for how much money the contestant won
@WayoshiM Assuming there is an equal chance of any one chip hitting any one of the nine slots at the bottom of the Plinko board, the odds of any one chip hitting the center slot (which is currently worth $10,000) is 8:1, or an 11.1% (tenths digit repeating infinitely) chance.
But, if you drop in the middle, it's more likely to get the 10K slot.

@MegastarLV It's a VERY wrong direction. These guest "announcers" sound like rank amateurs. So far, Season 39 is hard on the ears. They need to get Rich Fields back ASAP!
No, the three rotating announcers for Season 39 of the Price Is Right definitly weren't the best choices in the world, but to JD Roberto's credit, he's a lot better than either Brad Sherwood or Jeff Davis!
I wish they would've picked someone like Randy West or Burton Richardson, but oh well.

I like the new changes to Plinko, yet I think the LED version is not the best thing I've ever seen. The staircase definitely needed a new remodel, imo. Not sure about the scoreboard or the prices themselves.
JD was a good announcer, but WAY too overexciting. He could've toned down his voice a little.
What are the odds that he would get $10,000 in the first try? I'm sure not the best chances there, since there's a million ways it could've landed.

Some people will hate change no matter what. If it were up to some people, all the sets would be the same ugly earth tones from 1972. I actually liked the changes to the board.
Who makes the Marquee Light Border on the Price is Right it has changed several times throughout the shows history

@4PMGame omg its not like they changed the rules of the game. its just a change in how it looks, and its not even a big change. in fact, the changes make the game more exciting for when players land a chip in the big space. this isnt 1985 its 2010, wake up!

@MegastarLV If Rich Fields becomes Charlie O'Donnell's successor he'll definately get some R E S P E C T! It's seems like Harry Friedman and the Wheel crew actually respects talented professionals unlike Mr. Richards and the Price crew.
If they didn't Charlie O'Donnell would have been ousted sometime in the 2000's since it became a time where announcers became an afterthought.

Am I the only one who thinks the $10,000 flash is a little hard on the eyes.
This game looks SO flashy, with ultramodern-retro style...which is what it should be.
5:11 is amazing detail...pretty much the only thing with complaints is that Kathy remains mum about the reasons for Rich's firing after probably FIVE posting sessions post-Rich. The response seems to be that "you don't have the right to know everything" ...well, sure, there's no law that requires it, Kathy, but it's surely going to save many viewers - some have promised to quit watching if Kathy won't talk.
As nice as that sounds, they're not going to.

I don't care about the pricing game prop changes, but I do care about the announcer position and J.D. Roberto stinks! He's not funny, has a nasaly voice, and is a distraction. I want Rich Fields back! Rich should have NEVER been fired in the first place.

I hated these changes so much. The new music and set is awful. This is when I stopped watching the price is right
I know this show was so much better when it was simple. I dont like the new set at all. I do enjoy some technology and lighting but they have taken it to far.
