-Bee: Once you don't bail out, it's hard to stop...and with the cheap car here it was semi-tempting. As people are commenting below, the practice starting around the middle of last season has been if the car's ARP is revealed as part of the game, use a cheap car, because these games are generally easier since Mike can't use fake 0s, 5s, other evilness. Good budget-saving technique or does it ruin the Price name?
-Any Number: James was able to beat a very odd-looking price by coming down to the "moment of truth" and seeing that it couldn't be 149 or 1.02 - this was so obvious even the audience figured it out! Haha Mike, not today ya sneaky fool...

Best part about any of these Price Is Right Highlights is watching the pure excitement and enjoyment not the contestants show. But instead the host Drew Carey. Every time someone wins you can tell just how genuinely thrilled and happy he is for the contestants. It’s pretty awesome. I thought when Bob Barker retired that The Price Is Right would never be the same. I mean Bob Barker is an American Icon/Treasure and Drew Carey came into a job with huge shoes to fill. Which I can honestly say they nailed Bob’s replacement. Because Drew Carey not only filled those shoes. He exceeded any expectations that were set on him and now in his own right is on his way to becoming an American Icon. The Price Is Right I’d think and hope will never not be on the air. It’s a staple of American History and will continue to be forever
as will Jeopardy and The Wheel of Fortune.....No Matter who takes over those shows they will always be around....along with Family Feud.....TPiR, FF, WoF and Jeopardy are the TRUE OG's in the game show business!!!!

In that same vein I feel like Steve Harvey has faithfully taken on the mantle for family feud, and I can’t imagine anyone else doing it better. Him and Drew both come from comedy but they are seriously good guys.

The other four games were all quickies(Freeze Frame and Danger Price in the ifrst half, Flip Flop with a contestant taking their time and Safe Crackers in the second half, and all four of these games were lost), no GP game today

Spelling Bee is one of the few games where you can win without doing anything right. Because they have the CAR cards on there you could miss all 3 items and still win with one of the free picks. Don't know if I've ever seen it happen but I'm sure it has.
I know I've seen it a few times before, but it is still quite rare. The distribution of the cards is also shown on the game board, so it's possible to calculate the odds of doing this, but I can't be bothered to do the math right now...
Then again there was that time when the stage hands revealed the price of the wrong item during Spelling Bee, and the contestant was trying to guess something else, but Bob flat out told them to call what they saw, so they instantly got all 3 extra cards for guessing one of the prices exactly.
If you miss all 3 items, then you have to rely on your 2 free picks in order to win the car, and since you can't spell CAR with only 2 cards, you have to pick one of the two cards that say CAR with your 2 choices. There are 2 CAR cards in the array of 30 cards on the board, so the probability of winning comes to 114/870 which is about a 13.1% chance.

The last guy was down to 1, 6, or 8. 1 was the only logical choice. The sofa is not $149, and the bank would not be $1.02. The first number in the bank is always 6 or above.

I love Drew, he was the best person to replace Bob Barker. Of course drew doesn't have the power that bob had as far as his barker Beautys. But drew is so perfect person. Remember they were going to offer the job to Rosie O Donald. Stay with the show for at least 30 years. Maybe I will get a chance to get on the show.
During the first game, I'm amazed at the crowd shouting numbers at the contestant. They have no clue, either. It's a game of chance.
