I remember this..all 3 major networks had an Elvis movie on,,,,It was a big deal because people were waiting to see who won the rating war between NBC ABC CBS......Amazing time!!
3:36 - Trac II - George S. Irving (voice & model for the Heat Miser).
You've got.... RING AROUND THE COLLAR... unclean unclean unclean
I noticed a comment below about Lever Brothers brands: most of them, the ones that were featured in the 60s-80s, have been divested to other companies, except for Dove, Caress and Lipton, at least in the U.S.
I remembered the Calgonite commercial😊
YEAAA more 70's Thank you! And super thanx for the Index!
I still gotta check out that Carpenter/Russell Elvis joint.
One of the best Elvis biopics. Only problem I had with the movie is it only features Elvis’ life up to 1969.
1:29- Mandel Kramer, announcer
My childhood
Can anyone name the actor working with George S. Irving @ 3:40 ?
February 11, 1979 (the day R&B singer Brandy was born)
16:08 - Thought HS was twice weekly.
Seven times a week when you throw in the network run. There hasn't been a game show with that many since Family Feud in the early '90s when it appeared on both CBS and syndication, and for nearly a year, 90 minutes daily for five days a week! And I'm talking new shows, not reruns!
All products under the Lever Brothers brand are now made by Unilever.
@ 3:09 - Patrick Cronin
0:20: Toyota Trucks.
Can you upload the Austin City Limits Season 4 intro from 1979, featuring Sammy Allred?🙂

You made an error at line number 22; and the line is arranged the wrong way. Here is the proper way to arrange that line:
"ABC Television Network Promo For The Prime-Time Mini-Series "ROOTS: THE NEXT *GENERATIONS*" "
Please remind them to fix that line. Thank you.
No need to go overboard. We all know what ROOTS is all about.
