Alright, hear me out. This leech is cool.
Haemopis septagon is a GIANT terrestrial leech that only eats earthworms. It's also found in pristine ecosystems, like old-growth hardwood bottomlands. So it's probably an indicator of high-quality water and other ecosystem services humans care about.

Depends I suppose, since in the Americas earthworms are an invasive species it could be argued that to the overall native ecosystems of those parts of the world they are not beneficial.

@@thegamingwubba Perhaps, but it is believed that their presence (earthworms) at least in north America has led to a massive shift in the composition and presence of forests and grasslands fundamentally changing them from what they once were prior to their introduction so I wouldn't be surprised if it has led to some species of plants and animals becoming endangered or going extinct as a result or even enabled other invasive species to spread more easily in these places.

Aye to all of you saying earthworms are good and leeches are bad: earthworms create soil erosion and leaching of nutrients may reduce the productivity of forests and ultimately degrade fish habitat. While leeches are native which means all the other wildlife that’s native is adapted to it.

It depends on earth worm length and gulping speed. For example, if a worm is 10 centimetres and the leech is not that hungry, with a gulping speed of 0,01 centimetres per second, then it takes 10000 seconds. Which is 166,66666637 minutes. Roughly 2 hours and 47 minutes
