- Hi! I'm Tanic Sims 2 but you can call me Tanny and welcome to the first episode of my Pleasantview Let's Play series! Today we are off to Bluewater Village to meet the Delarosa family (Florence, Alder, and Prim) and attempt to keep them happy by fulfilling their wants - including Alder's wish to get into Private School. Plus, we discover the mortal enemy of all business owners: dirty dishes.

Uploading this is absolutely terrifying, because admittedly I am super disappointed with the quality. Like I say in the video, OBS has not been my friend lately. I recommend using headphones and lowering the volume, because for some reason there’s this horrible loud crackling that I have managed to slightly clear up with Audacity, only the audio quality still isn’t perfect - sometimes it’s tinny, usually as a result of having to reduce so much noise, and sometimes it was too difficult to completely remove the static without compromising the volume of my voice. I cannot apologise enough, and I am still figuring out how to fix these issues because you all deserve better content considering how long you wait for my uploads; your patience and understanding astounds me ❤️ I’m saving up for better equipment, but until then I deeply apologise ㅠㅠ

henry yes - personal is exactly how i describe it! it’s so intimate and vulnerable sharing this passion project that kept me going through a universally tough year. sharing it is terrifying because i love and care about my game so much that i would genuinely take it personally if someone didn’t like any of my sims or how i played or anything like that (not that anyone has said anything! everyone’s been so positive and enthusiastic and it’s made me realise i’ve absolutely made the best decision!!). i also was nervous because i’ve already played so much that i wondered if people would even care that much, but again i had absolutely nothing to worry about because this community is the nicest 🥺🥺🥺
thank you so much! i’m excited too! and honestly... no one’s ever used the word bubbly about me before 😭 i think i was rambling and laughing a lot because i was nervous and didn’t know what i should talk about or even how much i should talk haha. plus i get really excited talking about my sims and this game in general and maybe it showed 🥺❤️

omg plantsims... i’ve been thinking about incorporating all the occult into my series but somehow plantsims slipped my mind! might be because i have a mod (of course, had to get that one in here 🤣) that stops plants and crops from going bad, so i’d have to remove it temporarily in order to make a plantsim. plus i really want it for a nature sim, or when someone rolls the want (they probably won’t unfortunately. but i did make beau get abducted by aliens and another sim become a vampire without them wanting it, lol). but yeah, point is i NEED plantsims, and what better for being a plantsim than a delarosa?
I have a feeling this is gonna be my emotional support CZcams series for the next few weeks

thank you so much 🥺 i ended up cutting a lot of the times where i was silent out because not much was happening but i tried to talk when i knew something needed to be in the video, even if it meant i had to keep in the part where i was ranting about taco bell hahaha. so i’ll keep doing what i was doing for future videos! thank you for telling me, and i am so glad i could make you smile! 🥺❤️
You play your rotations however you want haha. I'm a person that syncs the start date and seasons for every household (4 day seasons/rounds) but I'm not going to notice/pay attention/judge what your gameplay is like lol. Also, Alder's bio is the cutest thing ever ;v; Oh man I need to start writing bios for my sims, I haven't touched any bios at all!
As far as you talking/narrating goes, I do think it's kinda fun to hear about the random sims that show up and you giving a little introduction to them, but I'm also kind of a quiet player (though I do talk to myself/my sims a lot). I'd say, do what you feel comfortable with but remember you're recording and try to pop back in if you realize you've been quiet for a while.
PLEASURE SIMS UGH I have a love hate relationship with pleasure secondaries and I sometimes just don't give a sim their secondary or I take it away when I'm tired of it or I'll even give them the second highest scoring aspiration. I like it for single sims because it helps me get them out of their house a little more but I'm terrible at getting ALL of my sims to other lots lol. I did also decide to add the grilled cheese aspiration into the Uberhood I'm setting up. Only 2 grilled cheese (Isabela Baldwin and Stephen Tinker apparently) so far but I haven't calculated every hood yet.
okay! i guess i worried because even though it’s really easy for me to remember it might be confusing to others but i will try to not worry so much ☺️ noooo not alder’s bio 🤣 it is far from my magnum opus hahaha. tbh some of my sims are still missing bios so i need to get on adding them. they’re so fun to write and get me out of my writing slumps so i recommend writing them when you get the chance!

so glad it’s not just me haha. at first my zodiac rule was libra and taurus had a chance of being either romance or pleasure; i’d consult an online randomiser or ask siri to flip a coin to decide whether my libra/taurus sims got pleasure or romance. i soon scrapped that when i started getting too many pleasure secondary aspirations and realised i couldn’t deal with it anymore and needed to start rationing the pleasure aspiration 🤣 it would be fine if it weren’t so... overpowering. no matter what the sims’ main aspiration is it’s like the pleasure secondary takes priority. probably the only good want is ask sim on date because it leads to pretty easy wants to fulfil (and usually it’s the only way i can get these sims to progress relationships most of the time haha) but they roll it like every day and it especially gets tedious when they’re in a relationship or married so they end up going on date nights EVERY night haha.
that’s a good idea! honestly because i’ve had so many pleasure sims i’ve been considering using the calculator with grilled cheese included, if only because it might reduce the chances of getting so many pleasure secondary aspiration sims (even if it means increasing the chances of grilled cheese sims...). it might be fun to add into my game. i haven’t played a grilled cheese sim in years! though their wants are just as repetitive and trivial as pleasure sims’, at least it’ll give me something new to play with haha. definitely something i’m considering.

that’s a good idea!! i guess i never utilise the matchmaker because i get too worried about a repo man or social worker or carpool driver dropping from the sky lol. but if i get really stuck and need a new candi-date for florence, i will call up the matchmaker! 🤗

thank you! yeah, the original audio was very staticy for some reason and i did not realise until editing (i couldn’t hear it in the test recordings) so i tried cleaning it up with audacity and unfortunately that meant losing some of the volume. the rest of the series shouldn’t have this problem. i am also hard of hearing so i understand, it’s okay! audio is not my strong point but i’ve been working hard to improve on it based on people’s feedback ☺️
