I didnt even know it existed lol. The bass guitar defo sounds like its the octave higher so of both notes are present either the bass guitar was playing octaves on the first note of the phrase (unlikely) or it was just overdubbed like you see here.

By keeping your finger on the shift button when playing a pattern it can enable single key changes. Also you can change the length of the bars when go into the set up menu
Cool. I tried to copy your settings to my JDXI, but cannot achieve an equally smooth bass tone (triangle wave with sub OSC, LPF with cutoff at 2:00 and resonance at 10:00, no LFO) but it sounds much harsher, more digital not as warm. Is there a secret ?
Ive now got one of these synths and its blinking brilliant! True there are limitations but what it does it does very well. Anyone tried feeding their guitar or a drum loop in to trigger the vocoder? Peace out to the music. 🙏☯️✊️🕺🎶🎚🔁📡
I dont know why people keep making that comparison. Its sounds nothing like Hall and Oates I Cant go for that. Their bassline is completely different. And the beat is light weight.
Roland Gerard Both! The Pad sound is a preset (with a little adjustment on the filter). Drums, bass and effects were programmed by myself. Thx for watching!

Originally, it was most likely written and recorded using a CompuRhythm, as was the song from which Billie Jean was derived (I Can't Go For That).
