    Unfortunately Marx didn’t do a “stress test” analysis of his proposed political system, to thoroughly think through how the most ruthless, dangerous, ambitious and politically savvy people would operate in it.

      Capitalism has had every chance to do good for centuries, but has been incalculably more barbaric, dictatorial, and murderous than even the worst anti-communist smears.
      Indeed it seems doubtful now if any stage of capitalism is possible without war, genocide and slavery. That is to say, Marx was insufficiently critical of capitalism.
