    I thought it a bit sad you changed the end of this Greek tragedy. It is a story about distrust and the price Eurydice had to pay..... in the original version Orpheus did look back, and he was punished by definitely loosing her to the underworld.

    • @SoothingPod
      @SoothingPod  Před 2 lety +11

      Yeah, that is true, originally this myth has a tragic ending. We are giving our best to keep the original versions as much as possible in our adaptations, but for a sleep story such a tragic ending might beat the purpose of our channel - and that is to get people fall asleep easier and have a night of peaceful sleep - so sometimes we have to change some parts. But actually you are right, we will be adding short note in our description in the future about this. Thanks for your feedback!

      I loved the change in the ending! It gave me hope that we can all change our own stories. There’s no role that says we can’t. plus who wants to go to bed to a tragedy?!😂

    Hi thank you as always for your story. I appreciate each and every one! Loved that you did some progressive muscle relaxation (I wanted to suggest this!) but can you please do it slower and take your time naming each body part? It nearly loses its value when it’s rushed. Thanks so much for listening

      If you find it too fast, you could try changing the playback speed to see if that helps.

    I loved the entire thing until you radically changed the ending! It ruins the whole lesson about faith--Orpheus looks back and loses his wife forever! I shudder to think people will actually think the Disney ending you revised here is the actual myth!

    Love your sleep stories. But last few I've woken at the end by loud CZcams ads at the end. Ugh!!

    • @SoothingPod
      @SoothingPod  Před 2 lety +4

      Sorry to read that. Even though we set channel to be without the ads in the middle and at the end, for the last few stories YT decided to add these anyway at the end, and we accidentally noticed it recently, and removed. If you notice it anywhere again, please comment below the particular story, so that we can check it out and remove. So sorry for the inconvenience.

      I drag the red dot to the end, then hit replay, if there are any ads it gets them over in one go 😉

    I am sorry what is this BS ending! The Greek myth has such a better ending, it is more realistic. For anyone who wants to know what actual happens is Orpheus makes it almost to the end but then is consumed by doubt and turns around only to see her still in the darkness and she is taken back to the underworld. There is just something beautiful in that ending though because yes it is sad but we gravitate towards it because he came so close and maybe the next time it gets told it could turn out differently. Hadestown captures that part absolutely perfectly. Regardless the original ending should have been kept as there is something beautiful in tragedy

    Her name is pronounced Your-Rid- i-Kay….. how can you read a story without knowing the proper pronunciation of a key character?!?

    • @SoothingPod
      @SoothingPod  Před 2 lety +7

      Hello, thank you for the feedback. The pronunciation you are suggesting is in Greek, and we are using English version of it. As we are adapting the stories from all around the globe, for English readers it is not always easy to correctly pronounce the names of the characters and cities in the original language, so we decided to use english pronunciation the most often in our stories.
