@@folaogun I haven't messed with it, all I know is: If you are standing still, sitting on the bike, and then hold the down button, it will engage cruise control, however, in my case it only cruises at 6km/h which is not sufficient enough for me. I have no idea how to change the cruise speed. To turn off the cruise controll all you do is hold the down button again until it turns itself off, or you can turn off the system by holding the middle button if the down button doesn't work.

The biggest exception is the WATTAGE display in the bottom of the display. The S 900 does not display wattage, the SW 900 does display wattage. The S 900 is a lesser version of the SW 900 controller. Hope this helps...Please comment if you have other info on this controller and display.

Thanks for explanation. Trying to figure out what I consider a problem: My power assist on a 48V 500W geared rear hub motor eBike I recently purchased in Costa Rica : My new eBike takes off at almost full power in PAS #1 (a bit dangerours to lend out on my funcky dirt road), while the watts meter jumps between 750+W to 200 W. The seller informed me after my paypal purchase with delivery, and then expression of concern; that my eBike was modified for Costa Rica and hills, and I could get by on PAS 0, and just use the throttle. My recent review of settings reveal (P14) Max Amps was set to 22, which produces twice the watt rating for a 48V 500W motor. I think that does give the motor more power; & testing on hills has not heated up the motor or 22 amp max controller to my finger touch. I hope experimenting with my settings will get me back to normal PAS modes and a properly working watt meter. ... I DO NOT Appreciate this unexpectedly new learning curve. I trusted the shop I purchased from to dial in everything before shipping, and inherited some loose ends to chase down. Still looks like a decent deal for the price, but wondering about longevity at 48 V x 22 AMPS = 1056 WATTS on a 500 Watt motor.

      Hello,
Did you manage to tinker the settings for your issue? I am having the same problem with my 48v 1000W. The seller (Violamart) is string me around without providing any instructions for the right settings because they have no idea either. They are just the middle man.
My PAS goes on full power at level 1. It ignores the levels changing up because it is already riding at max PAS level even though the LCD shows PAS level 1. If I connect the speed limiter wires of control box, the PAS is always working on level 1 and ignoring the changing of levels. I've tested with different hub motors, different battery, different controllers, different PAS sensors and different LCDs. My conclusion is it's the LCD because both LCDs I have tried gave got the same settings. Either that or both controllers I've got have bad programming (both are from Violamart).
Although, another kit I bought from them a year ago worked perfectly fine. Shame, an accident destroyed that bike's controller.
Please let me know if you've figured out the right settings on the LCD. Thanks

@@RogueLegend999 yo kushan. I learn tinkering w LCD settings could not fix. eBike shop later told me my eBike had been modified for hills. I read w more knowledge and software in PC ... One could adjust parameters, but that is beyond me. I got eBike builder to say he would fix my concern when he got a new round of inventory. He forwarded my complaint to manufacture supplier who said they would soften PAS #1 #2. Learning Curve reveals: Not all eBike function like my RadRover which I love riding way more than this eBike I purchased in Costa Rica.

Leave it at the minimum, 3 steps in 3rd gear will help scoot you across an intersection before you start irritating people in traffic. These bikes are so heavy, they can't get out of their own way without power assist.

If you have a geared hub motor like me, the motor magnets don't spin when coasting due to the freewheel mechanism. This means the motors speed sensor which pics up the magnets passing by only works while pedaling. I plan on buying a separate speedometer with a magnet on the spokes because it annoys me.

@@rentedduckliing you don't. Just increase the tire size on the lcd screen to trick the motor into working harder by thinking the tires are bigger which would make it go faster....

@@Mix0322 Actually it is the OPPOSITE from what the other poster stated. If you set the display to a SMALLER tire size, the controller will be “tricked” into thinking it must rotate the wheel at a faster rate to achieve the top speed setting (e.g., 20 mph). So when your speedometer reads 20 mph (at which point the motor kicks out) the wheels will be spinning FASTER than they were originally and your bike will actually be traveling faster than 20 mph. Note that by changing to a smaller wheel size setting, the reading on the speedometer will no longer accurately reflect the speed at which the bike is traveling - you will be riding FASTER than the speedometer indicates. Note: DO NOT set the max speed at 45kph as the CZcamsr recommends. Keep it at 35. The 45 setting is used by factory staff to QC the motor. Running the bike with the controller set at 45 for too long a period will fry the controller. I know that for a fact as I just picked my bike from being repaired and had a long discussion with the Ecotric technician about the “dos” and “don’ts.” I learned my lesson the hard way! Best luck!

On my Ecotric 20" Fat Tire Folder, any time you press the "down" button and keep it pressed, the bike will be in WALK mode, even if your going fast, the motor will slow to walk mode
