Very good video! Thanks 🙏
Could you tell me what mount you used to attach the action pod to the handle bars of the bike? Seems like a great idea to monitor what the camera is seeing!
Can’t wait to try it!
Not worth. Dji action 2 is better
Helpful review, thank you! Do you have a link for the chest strap that you use?
Hi Siklum! Any hr monitor chest strap will do 😃 just buy the cheapest one you can find on amazon, personally I have a Bryton Hr strap but only because they gave it to me
@@PatrickDelorenzi thank you!
Is it waterproof? Can it be used for stand up paddling?
As far as I can remember, the small camera module - yes, the body with the screen, no (check the website for more details)
What is the battery time of 4K 30?
I will do a test this week and report back
@@PatrickDelorenzi thank you
18min
When you're doing your ultra runs, I'm assuming you don't bring the actionpod with you. In that case do you find the 38 minute recording time enough battery life for you?
Hey rockleet! In 90% of cases it’s enough, the only times when I will take the action pod with me is if I’m doing something really long and need the extra battery life. In some races I take the pod with me in the beginning, then drop I off midway at the drop bag aid station to shed some weight for the second half, when everything starts feeling really hard and every gram counts
Dji action 2 vs insta go 3s?
Depends on what you use them for, I have both and haven’t used the action 3 in the last 6 months, I always used the go 3. For me the modularity of the Go is amazing, and I end up always taking it with me.
Action 3 is also a good camera no doubt. Both have their strengths.
@@PatrickDelorenzi action 2 is also modular camera
@johnorton4418 a sorry o was talking about the osmo action 2
In that case GO 3S all the way no doubt
@@PatrickDelorenzi can you please tell why?
@johnorton4418 I prefer it as it can be both a super compact lightweight camera, but also a traditional action cam with a bit flippable screen etc
I think the go 3S can't reframe as it could the go3.
It definitely can it just that due to the new sensor you get a narrower fov on the videos but can reframe as well as the go 3 could
@@tonysimon8060Firstly many thanks for answering and for your video. That said, I tried to move a 16:9 format up and down across the original 4:3 freeframe but it didn't work so, I lost part of the recording from above and below. With my Go3 I can do that movement, up or down, in order not to lose what I don't want to or I need to show.
Yeah that is cause the sensor on the go 3 was circular and the new go 3s is a 4:3 aspect that is why you could move slightly up or down on the recording but now it just centers the frame and gives you a narrower fov, that is the trade off for getting better resolution I guess
