Maybe a tar trap which causes anyone stepping on the area to get hindered, also a trap on a generator that activates upon a generator exploding (due to perks or failed skillchecks) and causes incapacitated on nearby survivors.
I was thinking a cool visceral skin (or whatever they're called) for trapper could be him as a ww2 soldier or something and his traps could be landmines or something alike but work the exact same.
BHVR still refuses to modify the appearance of killer's powers through cosmetics, that's why Huntress' hatchets never change, same as Victor from the twins, wraith's bell, etc.
The gen trap could work like the mimic chest, very easy to implement and would be good to see theyre updating and evolving original characters, which would be far easier since theyre not licenced
Tripwire, a hard to see thin line that can be put on doors or close enough walls, running survivors trip and on certain surfaces, get injured, can walk over it once you fallen for it once, can be disarmed by untieing it Motion sensor, makes a loud noise notification in proximity to it, survivors too close to it get deafened and the game is 40% quieter for 60sec
Honestly I’d much prefer a trapper like this, less stale going against him. Being afraid of legit everything at the beginning like doorways and gens just in case he’s rigged it. So much more fun
The gen trap is a cool idea. Maybe it clamps down on your hands and locks you on the gen and gives trapper a notification or killer instinct so he can get an easy hit
Ive been thinking idk if this is a bad idea but give trapper spike strips to add to windows he only gets around 4 he doesnt need to pick them up but they r in his inventory and what the spike strips do is essentially the window he slaps them on r medium vault only and increase the sounds of the survivor vaulting the window survivors can get rid of it via a little prompt once one is removed trapper gets it back after 10 seconds
I hate dealing with iri trapper but on maps with no grass it’s honestly miserable. They really need to give maps grass and maybe he can actually do something.
People kinda miss the point of the killer in general. They’re not supposed to be overpowered, they’re supposed to outsmart. Ie: Why would they buff his traps, because it would then make him broken… All you have to do currently is use serrated jaws or one hit jaws and force the pathing to your traps. Corner traps on objective or forced routes and they can’t possible avoid it anyway. Trapper is amazing, people are just too lazy to apply the correct iq.
I actually love this idea.. brown and some yellow addons just do the usual stuff to the bear traps, while the other addons just make them stronger or physically changes his power

yo like imagine this trap on the generator it has like a % of activation and everytime you do a skill check the % rize a lot if you dont disarme is going to activate with next skill check so you get trap and miss the skill check
also trapper need to take the trap of there too so if he kick the gen without knowing if the trap is set or not he will lose the kick and get trapped too, is like a really fun but at the same time balanced one

I run trapper with no add ons 100% of the time and occasionally I’ll run him with no perks. Still shit on people with him 😂 I would consider myself one of the better trapper players absolutely
