  • The UN secretary general has called for a global advertising ban on the fossil fuel industry, describing the sector as the "godfathers of climate chaos".
António Guterres said stronger action was needed to tackle climate change.
It came as a new report showed the world has been breaching warming records for the last year.

Once again the climate change warning appears below the video. I used CZcams feedback as follows.
Your statement "Human activities have been the main driver of climate change" has no basis. Show evidence. Even if we accept the dubious manipulated temperature readings, there have been many short term fluctuations in temperature way before man made effects. Look up Dansgaard-Oeschger events.

The planet has had fluctuating temperatures since the beginning of time, now that's a fact, but regardless of that fact, this bloke is virtue signalling, if he really believed what he was saying he would talk directly to China, India and Russia who are producing more climate change than all of Europe put together.
I would have far more respect for just stop oil etc if they tackled the real polluters, but no, it's always the easy targets that have done the most to go along with this bs, when they wake up and realise that even if the UK stopped the little Co2 we make, China and India etc will continue to destroy the planet, but leaving the West broke and poorer, these changes will cost the poor far more than the elitists that promote this stuff, they don't care whether pensioners like me can afford a heat pump or not, they are blinded by dogmatism !
Get out to China, India, Russia, the USA who are the biggest polluters by far, they produce around 85% of all pollutants!

Are we even planning for this new cold " Tropical" climate . A the moment I dont think so !!

@cw8867 CO2 levels have gone from 280 ppm to 420 ppm in the Industrial Era due to anthropogenic CO2 emissions. That's an increase of fifty percent. CO2 is a potent Greenhouse Gas. The validity of the Greenhouse Effect Theory is scientifically undisputed.
The planet is warming rapidly due anthropogenic CO2 emissions. Sea level rise is accelerating, hurricanes are getting stronger, heatwaves are becoming more common, floods and droughts are increasing, polar ice caps and glaciers are rapidly melting, the ocean is acidifying and intense rainfall events are increasing due to Climate Change.
      All predicted, all happening.
