Glad to find this. I'd rather do this print on demand stuff than mess with an inventory. Two questions -does Amazon charge a listing fee, or just comission? And as far as hiring a third part from fivvr, do you own the rights to image or the artist dos?

Hey Latoya, if I include a few pages for information or for a "this book belongs to" page , do I include these in the overall page count or is it excluded?
In general, when determining the page count for your book on KDP , the pages that are included are the actual content pages of your book. But, Amazon will include all pages in the book including blank pages under the product detail section. For ex. my coloring books include 24 pages to color and I list 24 pages in my description however Amazon lists the book as 57 total pages because they are including all pages in the total book, including the "this book belongs to" page.

So we make the cover a tad bigger, but the interior pages remain the same size?
How do you get your notebooks to be seen and bought on the beginning stages? I’ve made the books and uploaded them but what can I do extra to get them sold?
The best way is to build a community and use your book as a way to focus on that specific community. Your cover should also be focused on reaching that community/audience.
Hi LaToya, I am trying to create a notebook. And I like one that is premade on Canva. But are you saying not to use something that is one Canva to sell on Amazon? Are you suggesting we customize and make our own design?

Hi Latoya! If I put in KDP that I want my book to be 150 pages... When making the pages in Canva do I duplicate the pages 150 times and then save?
Hi! Yes, but the 150 pages would also include any copyright page and/or title pages.

Hey! you can create any type of lines or basic elements you want to use for your interior.

You can promote your books on your own Facebook page and also in groups that have your audience that tallows promotions

1 question, do I have to duplicate the interior pages to the amount I want in my book on canva, or will KDP automatically duplicate them for me so I would only need to create the 1st 2 pages for example?
Hi! You would need to duplicate them in Canva. KDP only prints the exact file you upload.

You said to save the cover as PNG, but I'm trying to upload my cover to KDP and it won't accept it because it's a PNG....do I change it to PDF?
KDP files should be saved as PDF files.

Hey love, you seem to know what you’re doing. My question is about copywriting I have my own brand, I have my own graphics and images similarly to you. I want to create my own prayer journals. I noticed that a lot of your stuff is copyrighted. What was your process of getting those things copyrighted because I know it can cost a lot of money, and What was your process specifically for journals? I’m overwhelmed because not only do I need to copyright my logos, but thinking, maybe some of my graphic designs, and more specifically the journal itself. if I were to create a prayer journal with my own graphics, do I need to copyright every single image or a collective work all together? I know that low content journals don’t require or don’t qualify for copyrights, but if it’s a journal, that’s unique, that’s half journal and half devotional with my own graphics, what would be your advice? I guess my fear is having to pay hundreds of dollars for every single prayer journal that I issue and I just don’t have a lot of money to do that for every individual work anyways I appreciate any info that you have and I support your channel
As a general rule of thumb, you own the copyright to your work the moment it’s created. Registering your work through the copyright office just gives you the additional rights you would need if you ever had to take legal action. One book could be considered as “one work.” The last time I checked I believe it’s around $65 per “work” if you decide to register it.
Also, you don’t copyright a logo. You trademark those.
Don’t let it overwhelm you, just take it one book at a time. You got this! ❣️

Hello! From the design tab click on grid view at the bottom of the page. Then, highlight all the pages you want to duplicate and click on duplicate pages. ;-)
Do Amazon make the books for you?
Yes. You create the book and Amazon prints & ships it to the customer.
