I have to say, in Italy, Sicily had the best food. They seem to grow the best produce and thier complicated history seems to have given them extensive collection of different foods.
And I'm not Sicilian, but have travelled extensively throughout Italy.
I love how much he loves food and is just positive about it. So often Italians just roast any food that isn't authentic Italian, and while most authentic Italian is beyond words amazing, there is beauty in some biscuits and gravy too.
It always makes me smile to see him happy and excited about the food he's trying ❤
Most Italians iknow love to try different food from different countries and cultures. But ofc they say their food is the best👌🏾

There is a lot of good food in the US. Many Italians make the mistake of looking for their usual food when they come to the US, missing out on the real, authentic, good American food.

My mother's father's maternal grandparents immigrated from Sicily to America. Mom's GGM was born in Palermo, and her GGF was born in Poggioreale. Check it out. The town was destroyed by an earthquake in 1968 and is now a ghost town. I hope to visit one day.

Those were cuttlefish with its own ink, not squid. Delicious but your theet will be temporarily black, you have to wash them with a good wine and a dessert 🍨 🥧
