Thanks Carlos for this honest review. I have these clippers and I'm a novice self teaching barber(still very much in the learning phase) and I like these clippers. I have the other Kemei 1986 as well and I prefer the feel of the Pro. One thing that you didn't mention was the lever stops for the blade. It has 5 stops but the wide open stop doesn't hold its position and slips out so if you're going to use that stop you'll have to either hold your thumb on the lever to keep it wide open or you'll have to loosen the lever with a Phillips head screw driver, hold the blade in that open position and then tighten the screw. Also, this is rather petty but if you're going to make a machine with a digital display showing the charge level don't you think it should go up to 100% rather than stopping at 99%? Just a minor QC issue but it's pretty glaring.
Thanks for the honesty. Upgraded to wahl blade and wahl premium guard system and this is still a killer deal and combo when you compare it to what magic clips are selling for right now.

bought a kemei 1986 for home use and got my first cut yesterday. Love it. Been wanting a km 1996 for a while, even ordered it from an ebay scammer and got a refund from ebay. Need a replacement from a low end Andis for years! Plural! Been a while. Man it's an upgrade. And bought the 1986 cause you were like, blade works out the box for home use. It does man. African american hair. it blew threw just fine. Hell and still had 90% charge. Came set up with a straight blade, fully charged. Might still change the blade but right now money is tight and the stock blade is ok. Glad i skipped the 1986 pro. Plus the 1986 was on sale on Amazon and i got it delivered in one day! No two months from China for the 1996. I'm not big on the gold. I'm more a silver guy, but i can live with it. It's solid too. I don't know why, but i watched tons of reviews on the km 1996 but and I don't like the gold. But your 1986 review convinced me on that. That and this review and how the 1986 blade was good out the box. Agreed. thanks. So far i'm impressed. love the original 1986.

Unfortunately almost all kemei clippers need to mod to get the right feels for barbering I absolutely agree the regular 86 is better, And i planned to exchange the dynamo from my old 86, becouse the clicks, it helps so much for fade, and my 86 now sound more noisy than usual đ Idk if you feel that too Btw awesome vids đ

So I have a really good question about the blades. If I need to change the steal blade out I know that you had indicated that the Wahl blades are good for the clipper, but which Wahl blades would fit it or does it even matter.

Hello, When you charge it fully does it show a 99% indication? I turn on mine and the indicator shows 99. But have charged it for hours and it still shows 90. Is this a defect or does this happen to everybody?

If itâs in a hot environment of course blades will heat up all clippers will heat up if itâs in a hot environment and no they donât come zero gaps but you can easily do that
I have been trying to get ahold of you to see if youâre interested on doing a review on new hair clippers that came out. These clippers have a little more powerful motor than the Kemei 1986 clippers (10 watts vs 8 watts). How can I get a hold of you to send them?

Got the same pair but mine say 1984. The originals shape motor and blade were good. This fat boy is heavier, the motor cuts slower hence the plus twenty five percent battery life boast. The blades are awful even after zero gapping them. Yes this would be great for home use once you swap to a wahl 2191 blade and I am not a fan of wahl. I can see the weight being a pain in the ass for a barber who cuts all day unless they do a lot of working out . The plus side you catch these on a lightning deal on Amazon you can get them for 30 like I did maybe 35 or ,40 which is cheap for Keimi products nowadays. I saw a bundle that had this clipper and the matching trimmer for 51 on Amazon which isn't bad at all.

I got these and mine came with the fade blade already.
Tengo un problema con esta clipper, funcionaba normal y de la nada un dĂa comenzĂł a apagarse. La cargaba completamente y al encenderla se apaga a los 10 segundos, y marcaba 0% de baterĂa en el temporizador, la cargaba otra vez y de nuevo lo mismo se apaga a los 10 segundos. PensĂ© que era la baterĂa asĂ que la cambie pero sigue pasando lo mismo. Al usarla conectada funciona normalmente. No sĂ© si sea problema del temporizador. Alguien puede ayudarme. Gracias

There's a magnet inside near the shaft that connects to the blade and motor take it out. No bog down fixed

It works but not a perfect fit but it does work with any of the WAHL blades

Their are a lot of good one but most just need to change the blade to get them to cut at a high level
