I've developed a powerful fixation on Red Wing Iron Rangers, though they're quite pricy. Still, I think that after the holidays I'm going to have to save up for a pair. I particularly like all of the different colors and types of leather that they are available in.
Hey Antonio! Love your videos, great quality, seen most of them. I do have one question tho: what happened to the more rugged pieces of clothing? Most of the newer videos deal with suits and casual clothing that's also dressier. I personally gravitate towards the rugged, outdoorsy type clothing, and it would be nice to see some content in that domain. Think waxed canvas jacket, heavy leather boots, raw denim and heavy flannel shirts in lieu of the sports jacket. Would be nice to see some tips on how to dress rugged but still look sharp

You answered the Black Chelsea boots with a suit question I had in the video it's appreciated since right now I don't have black oxfords but hopefully someday. So should we avoid anything that says Faux for example Faux Suede and Faux Leather? The Chukkas I saw online are made out of them so wondering if I should still purchase.It's a tough one for those who are vegan trying to move away from those but sometimes it is not possible therefore I still own Leather items for now.Hope my questions don't come off as annoying great content!

Excellent video and the best rundown of boots I have ever seen! I purchased some black leather cowboy boots some years ago to go country dancing and really only wear them for that. With cowboy boots, I have noticed that NO fashion channel even acknowledges them. My question is that are they out of date? Not practical? Mine are Luchese brand and I paid a good bit for them, but for everyday use, I prefer other choices.

Antonio, do you have any videos on what to use to clean boots? I am asking because I have a pair of Timberland wheat/or yellowish color boots and I went to a festival in them and I did not realize the ground was going to be horrendous. These boots got covered in mud and sometimes were in like a half an inch of mud. How do you clean that off of I think they call the leather nubuck?
Regarding the section dealing with care of the boots, I would say that the use of shoe or boot trees can help to prolong their useful life.
Bought some saddle soap for my harness boots last night, wake up to a boot video from Antonio. Sounds about right. I want to get a pair of jodhpurs, but Thursday only makes them in suede and I'd prefer a leather pair. But seeing as how I have 4 pairs of boots, I think I can wait lol.

I'm a medical student from Brazil and I'll be on a rotation in Chicago this January. I've heard its very cold and snowy, so I'm aware I have to dress accordingly. However, I do also have to dress professionaly because I'll be at the hospital. What kind of boots would suit both my professional needs as well as a sturdy weather proof boots?
Bernardo Guerra I am from Chicago and I would probably go with some Timberland chukka boots. I have a pair that are weather resistant and waterproof. Many people here keep their business shoes at their office and wear heavier duty boots or shoes for their commute. Keep some dress socks at work. LL Bean lined boots and some good boot socks are a good choice.

I love the all black President style (0:44), but I can't seem to find a style with the black heels as well as the leather. I can only find the brown heel with a black leather, but I think the all black makeup looks so much better. Any advice would be appreciated.

I wear casual boots with suits you can do it if it's a dress boots.
I love the design of the Thursday's. Unfortunately both of my pairs became extremely uncomfortable after about 2 years and I had to stop wearing them. Feeling of walking on cement. I contacted Thursday and they said the insoles were at fault and sent me a new set, which made no difference sadly. :/
Hey Chris! Sounds like you may need additional cushion support. We have updated our insoles since our initial launch and your last purchase but for some people additional cushion insoles are needed. Last spring we implemented preformed shock-absorbing antimicrobial 17 shore A poron insoles with an embedded custom-made shank for each last. Anyone ever seen a tier level on any boots advertised?
I know this video is old but you should look into Grant Stone Boots. They have a lot of boots under $300-400. Their boots are so much better than Thursdays. I know because I have both Thursday and Grant Stone. My favorite is the Grant Stone Ottawa's in Crimson CXL and then my 2 pair of Diesel's in Dune Cxl and Black Cxl. Those are my favorites compared to the two brands.

I can see that a zipper or hooks make a laced boot much easier to slip on an off and I often see really high laced boots with eight pairs of eyelids that would be quite the pain to tie, but I always think zippers make boots look cheap and look like you want to look sharp but are to lazy to tie them, while also lost enough jackets and bags to broken zipper. I resent hooks since the always killed the laces on my dockers boots back in my teens.
But since both have become quite ubiquitous and even thursday boots makes use of them, am I mistaken, because I have only known cheap examples? Are high quality hooks smooth enough to not damage the laces? Do high quality Zippers live as long as the rest of the boot?

I have the classic black Chelsea boot and I never wear them. Suède in different colours(grey and blue) and Brown leather or burgundy. Black shoes are just not for me except when I was in the military services.
Can you wear suede chukkas with a padded/puffer jacket? I mean those puffier jackets that are very warm but are less elegant by nature.

Great video! I’m a boot whore and own several brands and styles. Thursdays are a good value for $199, but if you spend $100 to $200 more on Redwings, Helms, or Trumans, you will get a vastly superior boot. Thursdays are not worth the money to resole,. So once the sole is shot, the boot is done.
If only Thursday was cheap to obtain in Australia, but at $400 a set its not realistic
