I been walking on a treadmill at 3 speed and 11 incline for 45-55 minutes for a year, last January I was 309 and today I’m around 205-210
Hey hey, excellent job! Congratulations
Keep up the GREAT work...hard work and dedication pays!
Congratulations!
Great jobI I just started and I'm 198lbs I going on speed 4 and 0 incline
How much time you walk each time???
Nothing like a treadmill. It provides natural & different range of movements. I love lifting weights & resistance training but the treadmill is my Capital like Cardio.
I have been walking every day for two months for an hour I didn't loose weight but my body looks great toning up I am not giving up will continue till I start to loose weight
Keep it up, sure :) walking is extremely healthy. You can always try holding onto light weights or squeezing your legs, abs, and arms to burn more calories. Also, walking can increase our appetites, so you should keep that in mind as well :)
This makes me feel less motivated I thought it would make u lose weight
Update?
Every morning for 30 minutes. Thanks for the great information.
Yesss, I love walking on the treadmill too. I was skeptical at first, but it feels completely different than walking on pavement :) and I do believe you get toned faster
I just ordered my treadmill today, can't wait to use it, I want to do at least 15mins 3-4 times a day
Hey, good luck! That's an awesome plan to squeeze more activity through the day!
@@Fitnessdy yes thank you it's the best way for me and build it up from there, bit by bit
Awesomeness
I try to get 30 mins a day on our new treadmill, been at it for 2 months now. Best investment I've made. Working from home and sit in front of a computer all day takes its toll
Yes, I know exactly what you mean. I only use the treadmill at the gym, but each time winter rolls around, I want to get one for home use 😀
I do 15 mins in the morning, 15 mins afternoon, 25 mins in evening. Speed 5.2 km per hr. Will increase speed n walk longer n add jogging a min n walk 4 mins.
That sounds great! It keeps you active throughout the day too! :)
I’m a 71 year old male My blood pressure was 140/95. It’s now 120/72. The reason is that I do the gym everyday and really push myself on the treadmill. Get GP advice however before you start a course at the gym..been going to the gym for 15 years..I had to be very disciplined but it’s very addictive too as you sleep better and feel generally good mentally
This comment is gold. You really hit the nail on the head by condensing everything people need to know about running on the treadmill in a few lines, whereas I tend to rant. Thanks for sharing and awesime job on your progress! 💪💪💪
A week ago I got my first threadmill. So hoping all works out.. it's very expensive here I only want to lose weight keep fit.
You got it bro in sha Allah 💪🏾
My right leg and my treadmill saved my life...😊😊😊
Hugs! ♥️
I lost 15 ponds and my tights looks bomb shell people eyes go straight to my hips and legs ❤
Is walking on the treadmill for over 2 hours too long? Because mine is a few months old and it shuts off by itself due to overheating. I even checked for any dust around the motor and didnt find any. I also used extra oil lubrication under the belt and it still shuts off on its own when I go over two hours.
10k steps is around 100 minutes according to a google search.
My gym treadmill stops after 1 hour. It is technical limitation. Then it restarts during 1 munute and you could walk again.
Depending on the treadmill quality, it might get overused if you're walking for over two hours on it :) I would also argue that it's better from a purely fitness standpoint to walk less, but more frequently throughout the day
I walk 5 to 6 times a week , I’m trying to loose weight is that ok
I walk 5 to 6 days a week anywhere between 20 minutes to an hour. I’m over three hundred pounds. I have ankle pain foot pain and a arthritic knee. But I walk past the pain walk at my own pace and take one day of rest to heal the pain. I started at 347 I’m now at 346. But honestly it’s my eating. I have to get my eating in order. But stick with it I love walking it’s just painful for me at times but I want to lose this weight. I also do seated chair workouts when the pain is too much. It a guy that does them here on CZcams.
I’m 78 yrs old and have always kept active, but my Dad told me that push-always are easier than push-ups. You must have a passion to lose weight now matter how you go about it. I wish you all the success you desire in your journey.
@@PurppusayHow are you doing now?
@@Shon9tilR still walking. I’m up to 7 miles now and actually tomorrow I’m working on walking 8 miles my current weight is 262
I try and do any hour every day if I can not at least 30mins,,I did try running but just too much walking I found a lot better I am 58
Can you please suggest some good shoes for walking on the treadmill for obese people?
I don't have any models in mind, but look for extra cushioning and an ergonomic midsole to protect your knees and ankles
Brooks
Brooks for any feet is awesome! Got my first pair and WOW what a difference. My feet have room!
I actually like the width and cushion of Hoka and New Balance
I just started yesterday. I did 41 minutes for both sessions 😅
Good! How did you feel after? 🙂
@@Fitnessdy really sweaty… & hopeful. Thanks for the video
