На такой ткани я бы сделала иначе: на кусочке, который идет на заплатку нужно со всех сторон выдернуть нитки примерно на 2-3 см (делаем бахрому). Накладываем этот кусочек на дырку , с изнанки тупым концом втыкаем иголку с ниткой, делаем петельку, в эту петельку просовываем одну нитку из края заплатки и вытягиваем ее на изнаночную сторону. И так все ниточки из бахромы со всех 4-х сторон. Дальше как в ролике, приутюжить обрезать лишнее и приклеить клеевую ткань. В итоге - совсем ничего видно не будет и не будет толщины по краю.
Я уважаю вашу точку зрения, но это лучший способ сделать это

This is great! I've been sewing for many years and have never seen this technique before. I just tried it yesterday on a pajama top with a huge horizontal rip in one sleeve. It turned out fine. Not as good as yours yet but I was able to match a little animal print and it looks pretty darn good for a first try. I think next time, after I cut my patch, I'm going to press the edges under before starting to stitch. I believe this will make it go a little faster and will be a little easier for me. I'm 71 and love sewing but my hands and eyes don't work quite as well as they used to. Thanks for this marvelous technique!!

@@sushiedebipershad691 the fabric that was ironed onto the back side is called 'fusible interfacing' or 'iron on interfacing', or sometimes the non-woven sells by the brand name: 'Pellon'. The product can be woven, sheer knit, or non-woven. This fusible interfacing comes in different stiffness, so try out first. it is sold by the yard or sometimes in packages. Also use it cut into long narrow strips to stabilize seamlines on knits before you sew so it won't stretch out or ripple when sewn, including hems.
Thank you so much for this video! Your mastery of the invisible stitch is to be commended. My late grandmother taught me this stitch years ago. She sewed “for the public” for many years and made a nice income from same. Thanks again!

My late Grandmother learned that invisible stitching and patching as a school girl in Germany in the 1890s. I could never master the skill, nor did I have her patience. Beautifully done.

Thank you so much. I did a practice piece first, as I couldn't tell to begin with whether you were sewing the patch on the right side of the material or the 'wrong' side. Anyway it enabled me to completely understand your method. I did a sort of invisible mend on my son's trousers but it was thick material and very difficult to sew. And had to use a piece of material from inside the trousers that wasn't as faded . Even so, I am really, really pleased with the result. It was what I would call a labour of love. Thank you so much for sharing. It was amazing, and I am very grateful for your very in depth tutorial.

Jamais pensei ver este tipo de trabalho de reconstrução de roupa,como paletós,calças,etc..de novo!Quando criança via as pessoas(costureiras ou alfaiates)fazendo este trabalho que é uma arte que realmente não se vê mais. Pelo menos aqui em minha cidade..a muitos anos mesmo não conhecemos ninguém que faça.
