madrid Hamma I think balancing your work is subjective and each artist has a different approach. I think you have to determine what works for you. I’m not trying to dodge the question, I just believe there is no universal answer. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for watching "What to do when You're Stuck on a Painting." Do you get stuck when painting? Do you have a method to evaluate your work? Do you have intentions before beginning a painting?
Like you, I do not get stuck during any painting. I do lock up occasionally with the concept, but once I get to putting paint on canvas, it comes pretty easily. I make crap paintings too. Hah! They get sent out for "re-education". That means they get painted over. I also do a lot of indexing early to see which way it is reading. Thanks again for the advice, I find it inspiring.
