Quit whining, practice more, become familiar with the gun. The gun won't change, your expectations might. If that doesn't work, the SP101 isn't for you.

Everything you said in the first part of the video goes exactly against what everyone else says. A 3" SP101 would be as close as you could get to a do all revolver.

When I bought my 342PD, I was having bullets go all over the place. Then a range master had me dig my left thumb into the meat between the right thumb and index finger. Also instead of using the pad of my index finger on trigger, I put more finger into the trigger. Basically up to first joint. Qualified every time after that. Give it a try with the SP101.

Is there any specific reason you keep riding Hogues name? Be grateful for the upgrade! I didnt know a grip made a revolver a target revolver vs. a carry piece! Really disappointed in your attitude!

I know! It's a perfectly decent, strong and durable little revolver... It's not perfect stock, admittedly, but that can be remedied with an aftermarket Hogue grip and a trigger job. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Good... You finally did it! I think it's just you - not the gun. Now it looks like mine. It's great for CC, imo; I have an IWB holster very similar to yours. Practice makes perfect. I suggest a 6 o'clock hold with your left thumb over your right. It still kicks with .357 Mag, but it's manageable... It does admittedly have somewhat of a stiff trigger, but I'm now making fairly accurate shots with mine out to 15 yards. It does have very basic CC sights - but I've put some white nail polish on it's front sight, for a better sight picture. I consider it to be my perfect middling, 'Goldilocks gun' revolver; any larger and it would have to be an OWB carry... It's essentially J-frame sized, but just with a longer barrel. A very fine all-steel compact revolver, in my view; perhaps just not as polished as a S&W. Of course, if you're looking purely for a range toy or for home defense, you can always go larger.

I used red nail polish. It wasn’t mind don’t judge. 😂

Practice, practice and practice. The Ruger SP101 straddles big to small. It is a great revolver, your new grips...good. You can try different springs, Wolf are what I got. If you want .357 power in smallest package, good to go. Got mine 2nd year offered...still going strong. Not a range gun, more of a "things go bump in the night gun'. Every member of my family learned to safely operate with ease. Go shooting with my friends, they all like to shoot a cylinder of magnums, once the grips were changed.

Plastic gun people should leave wheelguns to the grown-ups. This child has no idea how to hold or shoot the SP101, and he doesn't seem interested in learning.

    Interesting.
I run the 2 1/4" SP101, double action spurless hammer, and I think it's a fantastic weapon, with the stock grip, and stock trigger.
The only work it's had, was that I had the gunsmith do a little cleanup on the trigger mechanism to smooth it out even more.
I get great groups at the known distance range, and I shoot coming out of the holster on our own multi-distance range with good times and splits.
So the SP101 works good for me, whether I fire 38, 38+P or 357. It's one of my carry weapons.
There's nothing wrong with the weapon in this case.
I think it's more a case of this weapon doesn't fit the guy running this channel, or just that he needs to go back to a firearms coach that is familiar with wheel-gun technique.
I can easily imagine one of Miculeks coaching this guy for a bit, and getting him to clean up his revolver weaponscraft.

Get a Wolff 10lb. hammer spring and a new front sight and you'll have your new favorite handgun

You need a holster that won't collapse on itself whenever the gun is drawn.
That Bianchi suede holster will collapse.
I've owned a couple of them.
Their saving grace is that they are usually cheap, softer than a flimsy fabric holster, and can work ok until one can get a better holster.

The proper way to remove the OEM grip is to unscrew the screw and then twist the rubber grip to pop off the side panels. You can easily replace the hammer spring with a 10# soring to lighten up the DA pull from 14# down to 10#. A revolver is held and shot with the left thumb is pressed into the web of thr right hand. You need to practice with it. Small weapons are always snappier especially with heavy loads.

You do seem to whine alot. See how you didnt need anyone to hold your hand with colorful step by step instructions, thats because its so simple that Houge knows their normal clientele have common sense. As for your hand strength thats a you problem that has only 1 solution.

I dont know man, mine is perfect. Its more accurate than any of my other pistols. I hit at 50 yards with double action with ease. I have those same grips on mine. Its not great for carry but it works. It fits in the pocket pretty easily. of course its heavier than a micro 9 but its a revolver. Its reliability and durability are excellent. It does have fixed sights so that could be problematic if the gun has some flaws in to. Not all guns are created equal so yours could have some imperfection or something not finished or polished correctly. Send it to a gun smith. Also you look like you have big hands That could be part of the problem. Its a pretty small gun for a 357. I have little girl hands but strangely my schlong is decent size.
i dont even shoot 38 anymore because 357 is the same fuckin price which is ridiculous to me.
