    Washers help the "side to side" on bent forks. I've been runnin this set up for a year now, been clocked by my buddy following me at 53mph. Kinda sketchy, lol, but I'm a pro Haha. I also live on dirt in Anza CA, so VERY helpful. Just some inexpensive hardware tho, will remedy bent fork issues...

    Oh, btw DON'T use the Hyper frame. I'm using a vintage Huffy frame that's steel, because my Hyper frame cracked in half when I was removing my first motor for maintenance...so basically, engine mounts held bike together for who knows how long because, I didn't know until I started loosening bolts and the frame fell apart. Aluminum JUNK! Steel, or ANY alloy that ISN'T aluminum is a MUST for safety!

    Super heavy springer fork, think I will stick with Rock Shock or RST. $399 plus s&h would buy a okay bicycle. $1500 could buy a used Honda Rebel much better than illegal 66cc motorized bike.

  • @michalkolar2275

    Bang booom! 3G springer fork! Wow ! That's exactly what I thought and bought one - and installed it - and tried it - and... boom! Not happy ! Not happy at all guys. But why ??? Well, it actually handled pretty well, even at high speeds. But don't even think of puting a disc brake on it. Hey what? But that's what you kind of want to do if you put a motor on your bike, right? Well, yeah. And there is a mount for it right? Yes, but trust me, just DON'T PUT A DISC BRAKE ON THAT THING! If you want to put it on your cruiser and curise at 5 mph, go for it, great choice, great looks,,, everyone will adore your bike. But when I first did some, even less than a serious braking,, the whole fork went up and jumped like a horse and I thought it would break. Well, short conclusion - don't trust a fork that has a disc brake mount on the rocker. Have a look at any other motorbike chopper fork and you'll find out how that brake mount is supposed to be made. This one from 3G is faulty by design... sorry to say that. Don't let them fool you. They fooled me...

    • @MotoredLife
      @MotoredLife  Před 6 lety

      Really?! That sucks. I have a drum brake

    • @michalkolar2275
      @michalkolar2275 Před 6 lety

      That's fine if you don't get that problem with a drum brake. I think it's just a question of how the braking force is transfered to the rocker and what it does with it. I saw that motorbike springer forks have the brake mount attached to the back leg of the fork. That eliminates the transfer of braking forces to the rocker, thus the problem is solved. I just have my 3G fork down in the basement thinking about what to do with it. Maybe I'll figure out how to modify it. But until then, it'll be just siting down there...
