- The Service Manual of the Technics SL-1500C I have downloaded from VinylEngine. Now I was able to set up the position, where the Auto lift-up function sets in. There are two positions to choose.
The only video which shows that an adjustment is possible! Every other “wanna be professional” review does not give any information about it. Thank you! 👍
Thank you! You explained this very well. I just bought an SL-1500C today, and the first record I played ("The Divine Miss M" by Bette Midler), it lifted up before the last song was done. A Google search for "technics sl-1500c arm lifts too soon" led me here and now I've made the adjustment and it worked!
So glad I stumbled upon this video! I bought an SL-1500C a few weeks ago and this problem has been driving me nuts! Thanks for sharing this information, greatly appreciated.
Killer. Auto-lift hadn't lifted early until just today. Thanks to this video I was able to change the setting and all is well. Thank you for posting this!
Genius ! This is gonna help a lot of 1500c owners out... I guess when I got mine it was all ready programmed correctly out of the box. Never had any issues with any records, also noth with the ones with a very small run out groove. Thanks for sharing !
Thanks for posting this tutorial, I switched off the auto lift on my deck because it was lifting too early on my Ziggy Stardust album ,I will do this adjustment. Regards from UK
You're a genius - thanks for sharing! Just done this and works perfectly.
Excellent video. I had the auto lift turned off because it often lifted before the end of the record. Now it's working correctly. Very easy to follow instructions. Thanks very much!
You saved me! I just bought this model new in good condition for $800 with 2M Silver :) . On some records I noticed it lifted before the song was over and thought I bought a bad unit.....until I saw your video. Thanks alot!
Two thumbs up for this video-guide, i have played about a hundered different LPs without any issues... until yesterday. Reeperbahn from Record Store Day 2023 Side B last track, the pickup lifted about 30 seconds from the end, your guide saved the day =)
Thank you SO much for taking the time to do this….Bless you! I shudder to think of all of these great tables were returned because Technics didn’t clearly address this in the owner’s manual! Still love ya though Technics!😉
Excellent, im hoping to get my Sony PS X65 repaired and serviced, if I'm out of luck with that I'm taking a good look at this Technics. This arm lift issue was concerning me but now I know its not a problem. * Update * I've gone ahead and picked up a black SL1500C, your video was helpful in making the final decision, thank you.
I've just bought the technics sl1500 and it wouldn't go to the end of the record and was driving me nuts and thanks to this video I've sorted it now thanks
Thank you for detailed information! Just did it successfully for SL-100C, works a treat!
I literally saved this video few months ago in case I need it. Today, it happened :) So, I went back to it and I corrected it to the position that works for me. Thanks!
Thanks for posting. I had to try 4x before getting it right. I didn’t bother trying to set it because it only happens on a few longer playing LPs, but this is great. Auto lift takes another 15 seconds or so to kick in. It’s a great feature and a great turntable. Thanks for taking the time.
Thank you Sir... wasn't sure if there is such a service mode to relocate the auto lift function... now i am ready to order this unit!
Thank you for this,,could not find any other solutions,,took a little time but WOW..just WOW..brilliant solution
Great thanks you have helped another 1500-C owner on day one.
This was a lifesaver. However, I would recommend downloading the service manual to make sure you get the last step just right. There was some confusion (at least in my feeble brain) on which buttons to push on that final requirement. But indeed it does work, and now all my LPs (and 45s) play out. Thank you for the video!!
