  • In the Spring of 2014, a team of ESO Photo ambassadors embarked on a pioneering expedition to ESO's three observatories in Chile. Their mission was to capture a wide range of images and timelapses of the magnificent Chilean night sky and landscape in crisp Ultra High Definition. Join our heroes in their adventures in the arid Atacama Desert as they bring our Universe closer than ever before.

At the risk of sounding extremely corny, the thought of space and the images I've seen of it bring a tear to my eye. It's so amazing how insignificant--yet significant we are in this life.

Agreed. Contemplating this stuff is pretty powerful.

What are the various streaks across the sky - satelites, airplanes, meteors?

    In minutes 3.37 to 3.51
    A. There are objects that look like stars moving at a speed of not less than 1500 kilometers per hour or more.
    B. Moving through the air but not making any slight sounds.
    C. The green and red blinking strokes do not appear. Which is a common feature of all aircraft types must have.
    D. If it is a meteor, it must always slide down to the ground, not moving like this.
    E. If it was a flash of a comet or a meteorite, it must have a very high brightness first. From then gradually decreasing to a low level Until eventually getting smaller and smaller Remaining is a small point But will not be constant bright like this.
    Umm.. I'm thinking alone, right?
This is something that comes from outer space,
and has more advanced technology than humans in this world...🕴🕵😘😗
