- This is footage of what remains of a test zone from an earlier build of the Sonic 1 Special Edition. The graphical glitches are worse than in Green Hill Zone for some reason, and the collision was somewhat off, due to the fact that the public would never be able to view it through normal means.

I really like Tail's expressions and sprites in this! Also how he gets up and tries to keep running instead of crying in place, but he is slower because he probably got hurt

I get what Sonic did at 2:17. If you look closely, you will see Sonic rip Tails' spine out. Then Sonic uses it to punch a hole through Tails' eyes. So no, Sonic didn't do anything inappropriate to him, but it's still screwed up as hell.
So you're telling me ripping out someone's spine and using said spine to stab their eye out isn't in any way inappropriate?

I like tails doesn't scream when his spine gets ripped out but he does scream when he gets stabbed with it

@@becdoesyoutube And it makes sense that way, since the spine contains all the connections needed to maintain the rest of your body. That includes the ability to sense pain. That's why he only screamed when it pierced his brain, that was direct contact with the very thing that processes said pain.

Not only does this thing reach Sonic’s normal top speed in the timespan of about 2 seconds, it accelerates, still on the ground, and THEN starts flying. Genuinely shows the true speed this take on Sonic.exe can reach.

it's a sign of this series' quality when something that i knew was gonna happen is rewritten in a way that legit catches me off guard. i didn't even register sonic stripping tails until the latter started walking and when i did i let out an audible 'oh shit'

I tell you what, at 2:10 you could have sold it a little better by having it switch between eyes looking top left to top right rather then animation it skimming across. Makes it feel like an animation rather then game footage when smoothly tweens ye know.

- Tails, after having his tails torn off, sees the cliff above, perhaps because he could have flied there if he had his tails.
- Angel Island is from Sonic 3, a game in which Sonic can perform Spindashes.
So, yeah, I genuinely thought that if Tails just spindashed, he could have gone faster and perhaps he would have been able to fly there.
But since he couldn't guess well... he'll have to try without them :shrug:

God that was the BEST death scene I EVER seen of tails and sonic exe. I also like the attention to detail that he only goes fast cause of his two tails, since I seen people just make tails fast even though he has no more tails. It annoys me a bit, so that made me a little happy.
I really like how when he tries to go a different route he get blocked off so there is no escaping

This is a loop of the og sonic.exe game where tails's Fur becomes black when he dies So this means that Everyone got revived and didnt forgot what happend to them.

Take into account that the game was discarded by sega and only the characters and certain xonas were terminated by the team, so things like the colors would be due to glitches and interference from exe
immersion broken because tails is smoothly rotating.
sombody should make this into a game.
if this was truly on the Mega Drive, the designers would have used chunks.
some of these graphical level glitches look like whoever was designing the chunks was just incompetent and somehow placed tiles incorrectly. that's really hard to miss if you've actually ever tried to hack a Sonic the Hedgehog game on the Mega Drive. I know I'm really nitpicking, but it takes me out of the immersion sometimes.
