Maybe it's just the way the sunlight was hitting it in the lot, but is the front driver's side fender a lighter shade of (almost duller looking) purple?
obviously somebody tried to color match, and it didn't work out to well for them 😂 😂
@@SloppyMouthJoey It must be pretty bad then because I'm colorblind and I still noticed it. lol
probally been wrecked before
The fender is a different shade it's obvious
@@mikemalone4287 It may have been more obvious to those who have 20/20 vision.
Love the pistol grip shifter!! Tacky scoop needs to go. Definitely won't last long!!
Nice looking Mopar... but I am a Mopar guy. Yeah I know people do strange things. This is a JH23C0B 225 engine and it may have had a 3 speed manual transmission. No fender tag so can't decode it. They drop a 440 with a 4 speed which is very heavy . The Challenger came with 225 torsion bars. The rear at least is a 8 3/4 which is good. I hope they upgrade the torsion bars. The dash was changed to a RT from the stock set up. This was a repaint to plum crazy. Yes the car can move out. It's a shame they rip out the radio. That's hard to find the radio bezel for this. It was weird seeing red paint on the left side door hinge area and B7 blue around the striker plate and in the trunk. I am surprised they didn't go with a TA hood design. To me the price is high for the work that needs to be done. Good luck to the next owner. 🐻🇺🇸
Now that's a car, Mopar, plum crazy purple, 440, pistol grip shifter all the gauges work not getting no better than that
A little rough around the edges but if it was perfect it would be selling for a lot more than $30K. A 440 and a 4 speed? Yes, please!
This would be a great car for someone to buy and enjoy immediately. They could address all the issues with the car while still driving it. If someone wants a driver quality car (in my opinion, the best way to go) that you could have fun with and not worry too much about, this would be a great place to start.
In perfect condition Vanguard would be asking 190k for that car, lol.
not an original 440 car though, VIN shows it was a 6 cylinder, and most likely blue not purple@@HardcoreMotors
where did you see the vin number to see it was a 6 cylinder originally
To the buyer congratulations to the guy who had to let it go, I'm sorry. I had a 70' Challenger also and let it go back in 86', still pissed I had to let it go. Had orders to Germany with the Air Force.
Nick never dissapoints on Mopar Mondays!
Thanks Nick for getting some rubber in 3 gears. Fun test drive.
Love the sound of those tires as you put it through it's paces. Fun test drive. Gotta have my Maple Motor's Monday to get my week started off right. Mopar Mondays at Maple Motor's has a nice ring to it.
Definitely a repaint. Did anyone else see the light blue paint in the door jamb on the drivers side? And the mismatched lighter shade of purple on the LH side front fender.
i wish people that swap these v6 cars would just leave the exterior alone. Stop putting call out badges on these v6 cars guys!
That will be gone in no time! 😎
I have this same car but restored. This may be the best deal I've ever seen at Maple Motors. $31k was a steal for this one (IMO). A 1970 R/T, 440, with a 4spd.
Left front fender quarter panel has different purple color lighter purple
Nice Challenger but that hood scoop has to go.
Yes probably bin in an accident!?
Highly desirable car at a fair price. The only turn off for me was the scoop. This would be a body and paint guy's dream.
Love the 2 tones of purple paint!
Pretty Kool car! I have a friend with a 70 Challenger with the Indy heads, Demon carb. Etc on it.
Man that's nice, I don't mind that it's a little ratty either. That thing would be the perfect cruiser, minus the gas bill of course lol
Hi, can you tell me if this is an original RT car? Thanks, Steve
No it’s not.
😭😭😭
It's not. It was originally a V6 car.
'Vanishing Point!'
Can't believe the price.....😲 😮 😲
This Mopar will be gone before the sun sets!
🎊 🎊 😉 😎 😉 🎊 🎊
😭😭😭😭
Damn there's something about these Challengers ! Perhaps it brings me back to my youth. Had a '71 Challenger R/T when I was 19 back in early '80's. 440 as well. That freaking car was famous in the street drag scene. Sucker ran baby. I'm now almost 60 and I will have another before I'm in the ground or ashes stashed in a closet collecting dust. Yeah baby !!!!!
I should have bought that car , back in 1980 for $1,500
Great one to blow apart, do it right and have a super nice ride when done.
I am a MOPAR diehard Mopar or No Car lover. I've had literally hundreds and this would make a sweet ride .
Won't last long on the lot.
What a beast, muscle at its best; love it
Though it needs some restoration, this will get sold quickly. Nice old Challenger.
some quick googling: dash pad replacement = $140. hood replacement = ~$550. respray = kick ass daily driver.
For the price point, it's a good Challenger 😊
Sounding mean. Original challenger the start of a legend nice. Over 50 years old and still rolling. Should move quickly. Thanks for the ride. Keep cool out there. 👍🏼from so cal.
Thank you
Fix the rust, paint it white, and get a vanity lic plate "KOWALSKI" and you're all set !
Leave the paint the way it is
Bet your a bud lite drinker too😲
Very nice.
I love Challengers.
This one was special because it started life as a 6 cylinder.
Probably not many of them were made.
Just curious but how do you know this car started off as a 6 cylinder?
@@gladtoseeya986 dead give away, no dana60 rear differential.
@@SloppyMouthJoey oh okay, I got it.
Thank you 🙏🏻

As a kid I was fortunate enough to be a passenger in one of these a few times.. Super nice!
Well Nick, I am happy to see this Plum purple Challenger, for I commented last Monday and I was late for dinner because I was out of town. But I think the person that got it will put some time in it and make it there own .Nice old Challenger and still loved the vid.
If it was a factory air car, I would go see it in person and drive it, the only way I could decide if it is worth a reasonable offer.
I had a 70 challenger rt 440 magnum 4speed postal grip that I paid 550 for with a blown tranny ... Mint body ..motor an interior. Got it all dialed in an sold it for 8500 in the hemmings books ... Ya it was 1982 ... Sure miss that car .. good find here
Mighty Mopar the cars that bring the real money very nice
bad ass car!!!!! oh and the price????? way awesome. car prices are way sky high, so this is a fair deal. dad sold that brand of cars all his life and yet i ended up a chevy builder ha ha. peace
Looking good 👍. Nice for a Sunday cruise. Big 10.
Thanks 👍
Love it Nick. You calmly saying " You ready ? I know I am." Bang, you light it up. Shoot, that was Steve McQueen smooth. I had one of these. Nice ! Brought back many, many memories.
Ayyy thanks for ridding along with me 👍👍
Love the videos and cars! Not to be negative but that isn't original front end, critical light shows driver front fender and rest of driver side two tones or purple, but then again, its sweet!!
You know it I’ll show it! Love the new tagline brotha!
Man this one is defenetly one of my favorite you've had on the lot ! 440 4 speed ❤️
Nice colors❤🇺🇸🇧🇷 Go Maple Motors
Love the cars will be coming 👌 to see 👀 yall
Bout dang time you stomp on it and break some tires! I was getting bored with all the putting around on previous vids lol. That's a proper car and proper vid!
my favorite muscle car 1970 dodge challenger
I like both Cars & Bags of cash unfortunately I lack in both department$ !
That baby is nice, sounds good, shifts good! A nice boss tune up, and I'm gone, see you dear, I don't know, when I'll be back, I'm going to take me a long ride.🍺🏁💯
This one won't stay on the lot for long.
Very cool car! You can never have enough E-body Mopars! More please!!!
I love it when you get in the MOPARS, Nick. And, that Challenger is SWEET!
Purple Mopar at Maple Motors!
One of the cleanest undersides I’ve seen. Nice.
Appreciate that
Challengers, with good bones and a few problems, are worth that, today! That one is presentable, and a driver, also.
I’d put a T/A hood on it first thing.
You can tell regardless sunlight
That’s one hell of dodge challenger RT actully
Nice car little to much rust for me
😭😭😳
I miss this review of the Challenger this is well sort o automobile it won't last long just beautiful 👍
Amazing timeless specimen🔥
That car’s a “driver” which, to me, is the best kind of car their is. It’s solid, looks good going down the road, but isn’t so pristine you’d lose sleep over the smallest thing.
Does the reverse light under the dash come on when you put it in reverse?
Maybe it's just me. But that front driver fender looks like a different shade of purple than the rest of the car. But I'm sure it will sell fast
Nope it’s definitely a lighter shade
😆😂
Great car ! 🍇
Absolutely clean undercarriage and barked in 2nd AND 3rd......ooooh. Nice Car!!
Nice plumb crazy Charger with the Pistol grip shifter too. Looking at it now I think of that classic car movie “Vanishing Point”
Great video!
I watched this while visiting the Philippines 🇵🇭.
I never miss an episode!
Where y’all watching from?
Thanks for watching!
What a deal at 30gs
🏆Sure miss my 🍀73 great cars 😎✌️
Thats an collector car for sure
Classic.
This won't last long at all 👍 Nick what a beautiful Mopar 🔥
Thank you
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate Absolutely !
PEACE from Philadelphia
That's not an orginal steering wheel is it?
Great challenger. Either drive or like it is as a weekend warrior. Or invest in a complete paint job and a better hood and your golden with that one.
First generation Challenger with 440 six pack orginal plum crazy exterior manual too nice if could I would
Did that chirp 3rd !? Nice car !
Nice
Nick, why do most of horns NOT work?? Just wondering. I luv the 70 Challenger body style & nice 440 engine. Luv the purple too. I remember the purple & lime Cudas. Blinkers not working. Nice undercarriage. Shouldve left hood pins. Nice ride.
That’s another nice one👍🏼440😳
The steering wheel isn't centered that drives me nuts!
Close ratio 4 speed!!! Yeah man
whats the first 5 letters of the vin. i had a black on black 4 speed 440 in 1978. i want another
Very nice Mopar
Very nice!
Nice ride and a 4 speed
Mopar's best color. Very nice car
Is that an ear of corn jammed up underneath it?
I'm thinking that's the speedometer cable is insulated from the exhaust.
Maple Motors x Mopar 🏁
plum crazy and it's a 4-speed. Nick, where do I sign!?
Very nice.
Thank you
Good candidate for a Kowalski clone.
Driver side fender paint doesn’t match
Nick love yall cars. 😮😮😮
Thanks
No data tag.
Get a proper hood and it will be great
This is a *Italian finger kiss* beautiful car.
Not a bad looking car for the money driver side fender does not match rest of car
Is it gone yet?
Any chance the rear end is a Dana?
Keys please.😂👍
