43:51 my perspective on one pace is im the hugest fan of it because simply trying to make it more accurate to the manga doesn’t necessarily make it better. The reason being because manga and anime are two mediums that require different approaches to film making. A lot of stand out episodes, careful tension, and great action are removed because they are applying Manga placing to a tv format. And honestly without the Anime additions the studio made, I wouldn’t have cared for some moments more than others. For example, the scene where Luffy loses his crew is a great example. Without the sort of flashback sorrow scene that the anime did when that happened, I wouldnt have felt emotion I did in THATS scene without it. No hate towards one pace at all, but I feel like he originally an amazing much more whole experience. And then I feel like for anyone who wants to watch one piece, I feel it’s best to mix-and-match to make your experience. Awesome
Fun fact banana laffy taffy is incredibly popular. Its this weird thing that i cannot give an explaination for but some places ive been the general population says banana is an atrocious flavor and nobody eats it but in my travels have found other places like where im from where banana laffy taffy is the best flavor and ppl have seemingly not eaten other flavors of laffy taffy in years because they just sell banana stand alone and it sells the most. still sucky for the teeth tho
I LOVE banana Laffy Taffy. I will not touch other flavors. There is something exquisite about the fake banana flavor so I totally get it being popular in some areas.
42:22 some of the filler fights that one pace cuts do get the bleach treatment. A prime example of this is in Odens flashback, in the manga we are told of a 3 day and 3 night fight between the whitebeard and roger pirates but due to the nature of the flashback no panels were spared. In the anime they take the liberty of adding a 2-ish minute clash between the two groups that is very well animated and though it may be "filler" it has good moments between the two groups with characters that we know from past arcs. Not to say a couple scenes is watching 40 more hours of one piece than is neseccary but some of them are worth the watch.
When Danny was talking about the script copyright issue, OnePace would not be able to sue most likely because OnePace is arguably already an infringing work of OnePeice so OnePace would not have protections from copyright
I think they were saying that they might be able to sue if One Pace were made official and put on crunchyroll etc. I have no clue about this so I'm not saying they're right, just wanted to point out that I'm pretty sure they were talking about the scenario where One Pace was made official. Attempting to make Fate easy: -Fate Stay/Night is the original and the core. It has 3 routes in the VN. The first is badly adapted by Deen. The 2nd (Unlimited Blade Works) and 3rd (Heaven's Feel) are competently adapted, if losing some nuance, by Ufotable in 25 episodes and 3 movies respectively. - Fate Zero is 25 episodes of suffering but is a very well received prequel to the events of Stay Night. - The one with Shielder is one of many now existing piecewise adaptations of the mobile game Fate Grand Order. And... then there's a million *other* spinoffs because money
I'm still suprised that neither of them have seen Blue Exorcist because I think it has a very good first episode about the strained relationship between a delinquent kid that struggles in the world and his eccentric adopted father that ends with the main character developing a very reasonable end goal of "I am going to kill Satan."

I don't hate the tier list, the problem for me is I haven't watched these as anime, and I see them very differently. Like, the one piece anime to me is b tier, but the manga is my favorite piece of media of all time so the top of s. Similarly I can recognize that chainsaw man is good, but personally I had trouble connecting to any of the characters so I would probably put it at like a mid A tier

so basically tiktok is banned in my country so i only know nick's reactions till exactly the timeskip from youtube and instagram but i wonder if by the time im done with undergrad and go out of the country for postgrad, will i figure out a way to catch up to nick's reactions on tiktok or i'll just have to watch a couple million tik tok shorts at once 4ish years later

I don't hate the tier list, the problem for me is I haven't watched these as anime, and I see them very differently. Like, the one piece anime to me is b tier, but the manga is my favorite piece of media of all time so the top of s. Similarly I can recognize that chainsaw man is good, but personally I had trouble connecting to any of the characters so I would probably put it at like a mid A tier
