PHILIPPINES BEACH HOME COOKING - Chicken Adobo and Manok Surol! (BecomingFilipino Davao)

  • PHILIPPINES BEACH HOME COOKING... IT WAS TIME TO USE SOME OF OUR LOCALLY RAISED CHICKENS.
In this video, we cook two of our chickens. But first, we had to go to the Barangay in Cateel and find our spices. Funny enough, some of them were grown just outside our friends home. And they let us use some! From there, we head back to the beach house, and share moments as a barkada cooking. From grinding coconuts, to cleaning the chickens, to master chef Jandee cooking adobo and manok surol. This is a Filipino style beach home cooking video in Cateel, Davao Oriental...
MANOK SUROL and FILIPINO CHICKEN ADOBO!
    POWER ON!

If you're going to name your chickens, it's best to give them names like adobo, prito, sabaw,, etc. in case you have to eat them later. You won't feel so bad then. 🐔🐓🍗

I remember when I was a kid, we had a pig we named Babe (because of that movie which was a hit around the 90s). We also had a dog named Joyce and the two were playmates. We also play with Babe and she acted like she was also a dog. Lol On my birthday, anuary 20, she was abot to be slaughtered and roasted for the celebration. We walked her like a dog on a leash on the way to my uncle's house (my uncle was a butcher) andshe was really excited to be walked around..unaware that it would be her last.
The night of my birthday came and none in the family ate the lechon. Of course because she was dear to us.

Kalabo is a kind of mint with many foreign names like Mexican Mint, Spanish Thyme, wild Marjoram, etc. Crush the leaves and inhale it if you have a stuffy nose, make a tea to cure a cough. OT: The snakes and the monitor lizard are attracted to eggs and young chickens. Make some chicken coop house fortifications.
