Same here. It's like getting an inside look into how they set up/prepare for their shows. Also, John Oliver is very quiet about his personal life. He normally doesn't talk about his family/home life at all... thus the blank, white wall behind him when he did his zoom show. Hearing about his family is pretty cool. And, I really like his sense of humor. Both Oliver & Colbert speak, in everyday vocabulary, about subjects most of us don't bother to research but should know about. Same with Trevor Noah... when he talks about stuff, I always get the feeling that he is bewildered by the fact that we don't know about the subject. I guess it's because Oliver & Noah are not USA-born & their points of reference are very different from Americans. Their deliveries are always from a different perspective & I appreciate that... how other countries look at the USA & what we do on any given day.

I totally agree with your comment. I guess because his deliveries are so 'understated'. I think that's the British Way; they say outrageous stuff with a deadpan face & you think to yourself... did he really say that?

@5:31 - "That was pretty cool." Reminds of a chap who was more of an artsy type than anything else but being Dutch he performed his mandatory military service period. He was telling me all the things he didn't like about it (where as I enjoyed my 3 years for Canada) but he finally relented and smiled, "But you got to blow $#it up." I like to thing that's a universal thing.
