I really like today's project - great idea for using old book pages. Gayle I watch you almost daily. Love crafting w you. Today I am doing small gelli plate designs for card backs and then I put my clusters on them with "Hapoy Birthday" and donate them to a nursing home. I enjoy doing this while watching you because it makes the waiting for the paint to cure much easier. Lol
I think this is a really cute piece to add to any journal. I enjoy your process of making & your techniques that helps us in making our ephemera.
I don’t know why people find it necessary to make rude comments. I give every video I watch a thumbs up even if I don’t particularly like it because I know it takes time & effort by that person to make the video & they deserve encouragement. The ones I like I make a comment & say that I enjoy it. There are a few, like you, that I watch daily because I enjoy you so much. You are a people pleaser type & take rude (not constructive) comments to heart. Please don’t! We your faithful viewers love you just like you are. 🙏

What a fabulous idea for those small field identification books. I had the bird one growing up. I picked up the tree one at a garage sale last winter. Can’t wait to try this! In my college days I went to several concerts-Waylon Jennings, Charlie Daniels, Linda Ronstadt. In the past few years I’ve been to Celtic Thunder, Pentatonix, Newsboys 2X. I’d be chasing the deer from my flowers too! Have a Blessed day!

Good Morning Gayle, happy FFF. Great idea with the book pages, have to make some. Two weeks ago we had our first bunny in our yard, filling its belly up. I don’t mind at all, they have to eat too. She earned a scholarship to collage playing soft ball She is a pitcher at Hastings Nebraska. She started pitching when she was 6 years old in 2007.. She graduates in May so I am making the quilt for her graduation gift..When I finish this I will be back to working om junk journals and cards. I am getting ready for a craft fair. Good morning Gayle!! This is a great idea for small book pages!! Love how yours turned out. I'm sitting in my recliner drinking my coffee with Angel sleeping in my lap. Morning routine with Gayle. 🥰 A couple years ago while visiting our friends in Stevensville, they took us to Glen's Cafe for breakfast. It was closed and Kevin Costner was there filming a scene for Yellowstone. Very exciting as we saw him sitting at the counter from the parking lot. 😀 We got to eat there the next day and there's pictures of him and newspaper articles all over the walls. Best breakfast ever!! Have an awesome day...💜

Another Fun Forgotten Friends Friday...Feathers(birds), Flowers, Firs(trees)...Fantastic idea using book pages!! 😘 As you were sharing about famous ppl...reminded me of running into Jim Nabors(best known as Gomer Pyle, but also a singer) in Atlantic City, NJ! I got to shake his hand & chat about how I watched him on TV as a kid. I also know an Aunt of Kanye West(you were talking about the Kardashians); I bowled with her in a work league & a women's tournament years ago. Keep being you!!! ❤❤❤
Hi Gayle ! I’m just catching up on videos. My daughter’s wedding was last week, been a bit busy. Thank goodness it was last Friday and not this Friday however, horrible tornados blew through here in eastern Nebraska and we would’ve had no family or guests able to attend and a lot of food. Fortunately no deaths and only 2 hospitalizations which were for non-life threatening injuries. Lots of folks lost their homes though, entire blocks destroyed. 😢

Good Morning Gayle and friends. I made clusters bases today for my cruise journals. I also found some old books at our “Friends of the Library” sale for just $1 each. My dangles from Cathie came today. Oh my goodness they are gorgeous. I love the book page journal cards. I’ll be adding that to my idea journal. I’m adding your sweet hubby to my blessings list permanently. The boxing actually sounds kind of fun. Unlike my hubby’s hobby of fishing bass tournaments and today that was in the rain and the boat broke down. They made it safely back to the dock and got the boat on the trailer. You all know the acronym for Boat right? (Brake out another thousand). Poor guy just fixed something electrical that I didn’t understand a bit other than “it was sure hard to reach”! Have an awesome day ladies and gents. Jezebel will be going to the doggy spa to get all pretty-fied and I guess I’m going to have to do a few chores and then back to crafting. Blessings to you all.

I just finished a flower and bird journal. I used the large envelope for the cover. I love using the envelope. I’ve made two journals now using that method. Thank you so much for showing how to make these journal covers. You always have such great ideas.

I have not watched Yellowstone but Mary has. She liked it. I mostly watch programs on Brit Box, Acorn TV and PBS. Right now I'm watching Father Brown and Beyond Paradise. Mary and I are looking forward to the new season of Brokenwood which starts up next week. The most famous person I've ever met was Robert De Niro. I was the assistant manager of a movie theater in my home town when the movie, Bloody Mama, played. De Niro was promoting the film at some of the cities where it played. What I remember about him is that he was small in stature. When he walked into the office he immediately said, "Hey, man, where's the bathroom?" Little did I know he would go on to be such a prominent actor.

Love this project. It makes me want to run to my craft room and start right away! But first I have to finish the hidden paperclips with a tab from SevenPlaza that I’m working on. She had such a clever idea to incorporate shank buttons and I had to give it a go. I already can’t wait to make these signature-ready pages next!

Yea, I don't think many of us use out washi tape as much as we should. My problem is that I don't even think about it, but I love it when I do. The darn spools last forever. I love these and they look so fun. I will be giving this a go in the next couple of days. I am with you on trying to have plenty of already done ephemera to make journal making much faster. I love these signature pages you're making. I might try to adapt them to gift card holders. I'm working on building up my birthday and mother's day greeting card inventory, the summer markets start at the coast for me in about a week and a half. I arrived Wednesday.

Good morning to you, Gayle. I am catching up again. Evidently I need to start a You Tube channel. I talk to myself ALL THE TIME. A hazard of living by yourself for so long. I am a great conversationalist.😂 Love these little folders. So many opportunities to use scraps. I was late coming to the Yellowstone series but I love it. Most of my old lady group love it too. I am not much for Hallmark movies. Always the same story, they just change the character names and geography. For sure, you need the good guys and the bad guys for a good story. I sit home and watch all the beautiful people on TV.. Poor folks cannot afford to go. The Lily's for the Fillies that run on Oaks Friday. Gorgeous Red Roses for the Derby tomorrow. The stands are full of ladies pink dresses and hats. Many of the men also wear pink suits and hats.
The journal pages are a great way to use up odd guide book pages I have stuffed into a box.
I love the idea of using old dissertations. I wish I’d been doing this craft before I retired from the university. When professors would retire and clean out their offices, their past student’s dissertations and lots of old text books were tossed. Since they no longer print the dissertations (all digital now) the one you have is a great find. Have a happy “found day”

Hi Gayle…my famous person I saw was Chuck Norris. He was in our little tiny town, Palmer, Tx, filming an episode of Walker Texas Ranger. I just stood around holding my youngest and watched. We saw him jump through a fake glass window. You know, he’s a lot shorter than he looks on tv lol. I didn’t meet him, just watched them film.
I’ve been to a lot of concerts, especially when I was younger. I should write all them down on a journal page. I don’t really like to go to them anymore because there’s too many people 🙃. Have a good day and don’t let the negative comments get to you, it didn’t sound it did so that’s good lol.

I wouldn't want you to hurry while crafting. We hurry too much in life as is. Besides, crafting is all about quality, not quantity, right?
