To takie ostrzejsze granie, ale właśnie w tych mocniejszych brzmieniowo momentach najbardziej kręci. To jest NIESAMOWICIE ENERGETYCZNE. Po prostu petarda.

This album is so much more upbeat than her last album, Invisible Empire. Invisible Empire is so personal and heartfelt, and is my most favorite Tunstall album thus far
Seriously, I love KT, but after the brilliant Invisible Empire, this sounds kinda err.. unpolished. I felt she reached the zenith of her career with Invisible empire. It was warm and mellow at times, then suddenly so dark and brooding! It is also lyrically her most mature album so far. After listening to a few songs from Kin, it feels like she is trying to reach a larger audience with a more 'poppy' style. Invisible Empire so reminded me of artists like Goldfrapp, Cat power and Portishead. :(
+Caayotee I think it's more her going back to her roots. I mean yes this is completely different to Invisible Empire//Crescent Moon but if you listen to Eye To The Telescope or Drastic Fantastic, the songs on Kin are harking back to them albums.
+Caayotee invisible empire is lyrically and musically superior in my opinion. The music is more sophisticated and heartfelt. Of course the material is influenced by KT's loss of her father, and the divorce she was facing at the time, so it has a specific subject matter, and has a melancholy sound as a result. This album seems to me more like Tiger Suit. More of a poppy and almost cooky sound
Calum Jones Hmm, maybe we could have a mix of both styles. While I love her more upbeat songs like If only, Black horse, Ashes etc., I somehow connect better to songs like the beauty of uncertainty, through the dark, made of glass, how you kill me, waiting on the heart, white bird etc. I dont know why Mothgirl wasnt included in the original Drastic Fantastic compilation. It is such a brilliant song! I bet not many even know such a song exists because it is not featured anywhere. Only one video turns up in all of YT search. Not available on Spotify either. Wish she would make more like those.:-/

Late the party as usual--wow, I really have been missing out! Finally discovered this masterpiece....this is another one of her well crafted, perfectly honed songs. That pretty atmospheric bridge is to die for--love it! Then there's video--she is a true artist in all ways. I'm slowly working my way through KT's albums, was completely blown away by "Eye to the Telescope" when it came out and latched onto Glamour Puss and Ummannaq Song but didn't get Tiger Suit until a few months ago. Good God I've missed so much! Got Drastic Fantastic, Wax and Acoustic Extravaganza in one two week period and again was completely amazed. She is SO good and quite the artist. Her energy and writing skills are just phenomenal! Then I heard her stellar version of the Pretenders "2000 MIles" a couple of months ago-just gorgeous. Guess I better get her new album "Nut" too--so hard to catch up with all of her work!😀
