- Today's Sims 4 Console update patch brought us the much anticipated keyboard and mouse support we've been waiting for. Now console players can play the game nearly the same as PC sims fans.

I know this is an odd question. I just bought the sims4 for console because I finally realized you can use keyboard/mouse and there's enough patches and expansions now. But anywhoozles my question. Do you have to have ps4 network subscription to get the patches or just the ps4 connected to wifi?

Can you give the link on where you got the keyboard and mouse please? I’ve been wanting a keyboard and mouse for Sims 4. Using the controller is a struggle!
Mine are just old ones I had laying around the house. I recommend going to Amazon and looking for Logitech with the unifying receiver so that you can just use one dongle and connect both keyboard and mouse. Rather than one for each.

Hello! So I bought the Sims 4 today on my PS4 due to the mouse and keyboard update but it seems too weird? I don't have a keyboard yet so the mouse doesn't seem to work alone, but I wanted to ask, doe the menu and the hud change if we play with the mouse? Because your game setting seems waaaay different to mine.
Carina, I have been told, but have not verified, that you have to have both keyboard and mouse attached for either of them to work. I don't think I noticed any menu changes except the option to do Sims 3 camera, but I haven't really dug deep yet. I'll take a look tomorrow and see if I can find any other changes. Congrats on getting TS4!!
@@ArsenGirlGaming I had it on my computer but only the base game because my computer is super bad and I didn't want to damage it so I took the opportunity of the sale and got it on my console but yes it was super weird maybe it's because I have to do the tutorial before starting to play normally and not all the options are available yet?
@@ArsenGirlGaming Update: I just got a keyboard and it's working! Also the menu changed to how it is on the pc as well so that's good. I'm just having problems with the language...

Does it really feel like your playing it on pc it's just I have the Sims 4 on PlayStation 4 as well but I can't play that well with the controller and I have been thinking about getting a keyboard and mouse for my PlayStation 4
Yes! With Keyboard and Mouse it's nearly identical.

What's the difference in the sims 3 camera?
It gives you more flexibility to view your game in angles and ways the Sims 4 camera does not.

I haven't confirmed this yet, but someone said you had to have both a mouse and a keyboard attached for the mouse to work.

It was quick, but I did notice some hiccups here and there. Still way better than the controller.

You have to plug the dongle into the front of your PS4. That's all it should take. I didn't have to do anything else.
Oh and make sure your game has gotten the update.

@@ArsenGirlGaming In the world map if you transfer a single sim in your household it gives you 20k. You have you to confirm it and then take them out of your household. It's a repeat thing that'll give you 20k at a time. Then there's "cas.fulleditmode" to completely change your sim as if you were first making them from scratch.
Also to add a trait to put "Traits.equip_trait." Example is: Traits.equip_trait Savant. These last two have to go in the cheat menu but you just don't put in testingcheatstrue. Hope that was easy to understand.
So those two cheats won't cause the achievements to go away? Interesting...
@@ArsenGirlGaming They won't. As long as you don't type in "TestingCheatsTrue" you can experiment with other cheats I haven't tried.
