I was sitting here watching you entertaining everybody in your craft room and Sunny and then I thought it would be so fun for you to make a junk journal starring Sunny. It would be fun to put in fds, episodes with the birds, treats, places he goes, toys, baths grooming. It would be the cutest growth diary for you to record his growth and the joys he is bringing to you like foraging through your craft trash, what is his favorite thing to do outside. Does he have playmates. Pictures, drawings, stickers would be so fun. It would be so fun having you consulting your little Sunny on his all star book, journal. Be sure to get his little paw prints in it somewhere.

that is where I get such great ideas, for my own adventures in paper,by watching and talking out loud to your journals!… (maybe I watch too many baseball games here in Florida!?!?🥴)….

In my craft room, I painted the back of the door with Chalkboard paint. On it I have all of my favorite quotes written in chalk paint pens. I did this years ago and I don’t think my husband has ever seen it! He’d probably die if he ever does. Lol. This would be a good place to put them, plus use up all the millions of book pages I have.

With lots of fun interesting books from thrift stores this will be a super project.
When making a page with strip of paper I work right to left. So the overlaid edge is less likely to catch on the journal-writer's pen. I.e., the pen will 'fall' from an upper layer down onto the next strip.
kITKits, kits, kits. Thank you Pam for not using kits. They are wonderful but the outcome is limited to what's in the kit. You are versatile with lots of usable ideas, like using book pages, etc. I love some of the kits but I found that they made me appreciate you all the more. Thanks, Pam.

This is great! I have a large box of old cookbooks that I rescued over the years from “free” boxes at yard sales. I have t been planning a cooking and recipe journal for a friend, and it never occurred to me to use the actual pages from the cookbooks, that are all shapes and sizes, many of them being vintage cookbooks from the manufacturers of ingredients and kitchen tools.
Love that idea for the photos.
I could kick my butt-I got rid of a bunch of newspapers from South Louisiana containing tons of recipes. Wish I had that now!

PAM PAM lol - i have the most wonderful technique to tell you about - when you said "book page repair" - well you know how tape looks on an old book page - its nice and old and yellow, right - well take a strip of regular shiny (not mute) Scotch tape - put it on something like wax, freezer, parch or used sticker paper - lay out a few strips - add a few drops of any shades of yellow alcohol inks - dab dab dab until all strips are colored - then give a light mist of alcohol - let the magic happen and let it dry - what a great way to "repair" a book page and make it look old instantly - and i love what you did - again - and yes i will make one of these - thank you for all you do - be well xx

Oh yes! This is a fun one and I really like the freedom of just throwing things together. A great example of crafting with “Reckless Abandon”! 😝🤣😂🤣😝🤣😝. Sunny is so outrageously cute, especially when he talks to us. 😂🤣❤️🥰

I don't watch much tv with all the sorrow in the stuff going on but I have learned a lot from you and spend my time playing with paper. Hey Pam!! Did I see quail birds on the paper on the inside cover of the book you made with us?? Gambles Quail are the California State Bird and I have like a b'zillion of them in my backyard... feed them every day.
Reminds me that I've been meaning to ask you and Holly if you guys can recommend a nifty way to incorporate bird feathers in a journal? As you might imagine I have so very many beautiful feathers. And Holly, you can rest assured that NO BIRDS WERE HARMED in the collecting of these feathers.

Question for you. Do your food stained pages ever smell? Do they draw bugs? I'm just curious. I live out in the country and we have bugs all the time. 😶 You think they'd be drawn to my journal pages and eat them???? Thoughts please.
Also, my company had lots of crystal light expired packages...no sugar, but sweeteners. Think they'd do the same or make pages sticky? Curious on your thoughts!
