Use this guide to get Unlimited Ammo in FNV: czcams.com/video/fz-yOIpYxrk/video.html
Well someone was clearly experimenting with the ammo swap glitch
Ha ha yeap, most certainly. It's one of my favorite glithes. I don't make many melee builds but when I do, they tend to overpower all other of my builds.
I love these op weapon glitches. One of my favorite ones is switching the ammo for the Flare Gun to shoot rockets like the Red Glare.
Me to, it's also another one of my favorites. I am going to start looking into DLC content soon for FNV and it will be one of the videos that I will cover, I am sort of looking forward to it ha ha.
Do it with tiny tots and watch yourself become a nuclear apocalypse
@kizi2213 Alternatively, I call it The Fireworks.
@@kizi2213
I thought I was the only one who had discovered that, lol.
This is so cool!! I never new you could do this with melee. Great tip Mo.
It's something I use a lot of the time. I have a build where all I have is power armor and some butter knifes.
Small nitpick, but it's not to the power of 9. It's just multiplied by 9, which is still a lot of course.
Oh I did not know that, I thought it was to the power of 9 and not a multiple of 9. I will double check that, thanks for letting me know. As you said, still godly powerful.
Power of 9 would be stronger than god lol
Holy CRAP! You turned that from a throat cutter to a decapitator!
It's literally a game changer. You can use this pretty much with any melee weapon. Even the humblest of knifes (if there is such a thing) now has the raw damage output of a knife.
Doc Mitch was right may he rest in peace.
Wise words from a wise man. Thanks so much for checking out my video.
Broooooo!! I gotta try this asap! Great stuff! Thanks for the vid!
No problem at all, ak hope you have a lot of fun using this one.
Wow! That was a massive change in damage using that glitch! Loved you used it on that weak melee weapon to show just how drastic the increase in damage is! Awesome video buddy!😃🤘
Thanks so much Reckless, I relly appreciate that. It's crazy how useful this glitch is.
thanks for the info!
No problem at all, thanks so much for checking out my video.
@@TrappedInFallout 💚
Mo im very concerned and confused by how you figured this out. You find the weirdest but greatest glitches
Ha ha I will take that as both a complement and a warning. I don't know, I have been using these glitches for years now. Glitches like this one have been born out of years of playing and some luck.
You can also use this glitch with the recharger rifle it fires unlimited nukes it’s kinda crazy. Nice vid🤟
It's crazy just how powerful and versatile this glitch is. I use it as an ammo swap glitch for weapons that have limited ammo. Also use it to migrate properties of certain ammo onto other weapons.
Damn. I never used melee much, if at all. That may have to change now. Great video, Mo. Sounds like you had fun making it.
I certainly did. I try not to use melee too much, given this glitch I can pretty much solo anything with the weakest of melee weapons. Sort of makes the game way to easy......then again I do roll with 100 on all skills. Close to double perks. Maybe god melee mode is not too bad after all.
This video was entertaining to watch and thanks to you im definitely gonna try this in fnv when i play it again
That's awesome, I hope you have alot of fun. It's a pretty awesome glitch, try mixing and matching different ammo types with different weapons for some interesting results.
@@TrappedInFallout I'll definitely give that a try and i may even post it to my CZcams im making
@@SharkBoy48 Awesome, do let me know if you do post it to your channel, I would love to drop by and check it out for myself 😃👍
@@TrappedInFallout i most certainly will
I will also be posting streams i did from my twich channel as well
@@SharkBoy48 Awesome, beast of luck 😃👍
Gonna try this later now 😂
Awesome, I hope you have fun with this one. It's a great and fun glitch.
nice 👍
Thank you someone for checking out my video and for your comment.
Hey Moe does this work with the laser detonator? P.S. Love your vids and I hope you have a great day :) .
Thank, I hope you have a good one too. In short yes, it does. I've used it myself and its truly devastating.
Im really excited to do this glitch but despite holding hotkey button and fatman ammo being highlighted it doesnt add ammo to hotkey.
What should i do?
It should work. When you try the Fatman ammo, try to add the small nukes as they work as shown in the video (are you adding the same nuke types?).
I did this accidentally last year by switching to explosive .50 rounds with the Humble Cudgel equipped. I ended up laughing for minutes after I figured out what happened.
It's a solid glitch and I think that many probably found it, .
You can do this with Boxing Tape to cheese the Deathclaw Pro Hunter challange :)
Ha ha not a bad idea. I use it to other melee weapons such ad Chances Knife for the increase chances of critical hits. It's just too powerful. Imagine this, Power Armor and a knife is all you need.
I use this same glitch to shoot missles or grenade rounds out of a BB gun. It's alot of fun 😂
I love it. This glitch turns a lot of my weapons on godly level tools. It's nice to just needing specific ammo for almost any weapon.
@@TrappedInFallout absolutely. I'm doing a sneak/detective playthrough and I used this for infinite throwing knives and I would use bbs because you can buy a bunch at a time and it doesn't weigh much in hardcore mode. Super fun to have infinite knives without console command
@williamwest6262 Its crazy just how powerful this is. Especially when you also compound perks behind this glitch.
I at one point did the same thing
It's a very game breaking glitch and can be used to take out big enemies with little to no trouble.
It works but it’s 2 hit for me and I’m against legions, maybe it’s bc I’m using a regular mini nuke
I think it’s bc my explosives were on 15
For this to work you do need to use the same type of ammo that I was using as it carries over the most amount of power. But yes, 2 hits is still a pretty good deal.
I just tried this with a knife, it didn't work. Need to get the figaro and try again (or should this work with any melee weapon?).
Edit - Just saw that you need the Gunrunners DLC in order for the glitch to work! (U probably should put that in the video description. I had to find out by scrolling the comments!)
Not sure about that but that's not true. This works in the base game for sure. Works with many other items also, not just melee weapons.
i find it incredible that 13 years later people still find glitches, exploits and bugs in the game. like i said before fallout is a game that will never die.
I totally agree. This said, I have known about this glitch for years now, been using it for a very long time. But, it's still not very well known and glitches like this really help to convince folks to give the Fallout games another go. It's an amazing glitch for sure.
@@TrappedInFallout yeah fallout games are the best that's for sure.
@@theforestman44 😃👍
Im cant find a TT mini nuke, do i need a dlc installed?
Yes, you need the Gun Runners Arsenal installed to see this special ammo type.
I'm laughing menacingly rn 😂
Sounds like you have a plan in mind ha ha.
Do you need to purchase the Fat Man to hotkey the ammo?
Yup. You have to be able to hot key the ammo. Esther will work as well but a fatman is required
Yes, it's required. You need to get both the weapon and the ammo. That said once you have the ammo hotkey'ed, you can see the weapon as it won't be needed anymore as long as the ammo remains in the hotkey.
Yeap that's right, many thanks for sharing.
considering I got your character build hiccup to work, I'm optimistic to see if I can pull this off.
It should work. This is one of the easier glitches. Virtually no big steps or needed. Just need some powerful weapon with some strong ammo, hotkey, switch to a melee weapon and hotkey the ammo in.
@@TrappedInFallout I'm gonna assume a "specialty" ammo. also, gonna try the rare ammo trick as well. I'm drowning in certian types I don't even USE.
@anonymuswere It may not be very fun or maybe a little out of one's comfort zone but it's really lovely to use and makes melee builds hit hard in a different sort of way.
@@TrappedInFallout I'm also a Skyrim player, and am not uncomfortable with melee builds. this will make melee a lot more viable for me.
@@anonymuswere It really is a great way to take out enemies easily enough and it's fun too.
well my fallout doesnt like it if i do it corectly it crashes completly is it maybe mods ?
( i mean that it crashes for me than )
If your using mods then it may be the cause of your crashes but by no means the only cause of the crashes. It could be anything really. I would suggest you try with no mods to at least rule it out one way or the other. I hope this helps.
I found out about this at the same time I was learning the (automatic nuke) laser detonator version, which basically uses the same method with the hot keys. If there's one positive thing about buggy Bethesda games, it's the ability to do things like this. 🤔 Fallout 4 has a similar bug, but it's after I installed the ncr ranger armor mod.
I am looking forward to making some more Fallout 4 glitch videos. And yes, Bethesda games would not be Bethesgames if they did not have some great classic glitches on them.
Can this be done with the annabelle and missiles? To do it early i mean
You can do this with any weapon and ammo type. I like to hotkey .50 explosive rounds and fire them through a 10mm pistol.
It can be a little janky though. I believe that if you use gra type ammo, it will actually fire that ammo from any gun. If you use regular non-gra ammo, it can be hit or miss on what happens.
In short, yes. Try experimenting different weapons with different ammo types and see what happens 👍
Mo turned Figaro into a God and now it’s no longer useless 😂
Ha ha I decided to use Figaro just to show how deadly this glitch is. Toke out an Alpha in one hit.
I still think it’s funny. But thanks for guide man I didn’t know you can do this with the ammo swamp glitch. But I have a question does this work on regular mini nukes or has to be these mini nukes?
@thehunter5607 From my testing, you get better results from the ones I use in the video. The others work too but seems to be somewhat inconsistent based on the weapon you use. So I go with the mini nukes shown.
@@TrappedInFallout Oh ok thanks 😊
@@thehunter5607 No problem at all 👍
@TrappedInFallout for some reason when doing this glitch I cannot power attack my weapons is that normal I’m on Xbox series x
No that does not sound normal at all. The glitch simple effects the damage output but not the attack pattern. I would restart your game and see if that fixes things.
@@TrappedInFallout ok 👍 thank you 😊
@@TrappedInFallout I tried again on a new save and still can’t power attack for some reason
@GOTHBOIQUANTUM I'm not entirely sure what to suggest, I actually use power attacks all the time with the glitch myself. Maybe start a brand new temporary game and grab a random melee weapon and try a power attack. Then do the glitch and see of it happens again.
@@TrappedInFallout I just started a new game and I went to gun runners and got a mini nuke so far on all my melee weapons while I’ve got the mini nuke equipped I cannot power attack
are the other types of mini nukes in the base game?
Yes, in the base game. Though very rare, like only 2 or 3. If you take the wild wasteland perk then about 13 or 14 I think. But yes but only a few.
any idea where to find specifically a special type of mini nuke? i’ve tried google and the regular mini nuke just doesn’t work
@josh7352 oh the special ones - I have only ever found them in the Gunners store. Only on occasion on random enemies. Is there any reason why you are not able to vet it from the store? And yes, the normal ones don't really work, sometimes not at all based on the weapon you use.
@@TrappedInFallout i’m just asking because i thought you could only get the special variants from dlcs, of which i have none because i’m using my ps4 to stream it and i can’t download any
@josh7352 oh, I miss read. Your right, the special types of nukes are from the DLCs only. I will have to double check again but yeah.
Did this work on every melee weapon?
4:04
Yeap, pretty much. I have been using it as part of my melee builds for a long time now, years in fact. Have not stumbled across a melee weapon where this did not work.
I tried it on the broad machete and it dosnt work for me
Doesn’t work on anything with an animation like chainsaws and cattle prod
I knew about this glitch but I didn't know you could do it with a melee weapon 🔪😈🦹😜😜😜
It's a solid glitch, a literal game changer for any melee build.
Could this work with the bb gun?
In theory it should work with any weapon. Given that when you use the ammo swap glitch - it also carries out the ammo's properties. So you can take advantage of the weapon such as critical damage, spread etc and then compound the damage the weapon does by using bullets/ammo from another weapon that increases the damage of the weapon.
@@TrappedInFallout sweet it should be fun to play with lol
@@pyrocasten Yeap, it should be. Have fun.
It doesn't seem to work for me anymore
It should work, have you tried using the same weapons?
I used to use missiles by equiping Annabelle and then doing the glitch, then i used the (gra) katana, but i think it seems to still work with the hive missiles, but it's not as effective as i remember
I fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling the game
@@Bartona333 That's strange, sounds like it should work at that point.
@Bartona333 Ah that's interesting, happy to see that its worked on your side.
I thought for sure this would be clickbait.. but you know I actually believe you. I still own fallout New Vegas I may have to give this a try.. 😏😈
Now I'm wondering how many other ways can the game be broke using this idea...
I wish I could create clickbait content - nope, thankfully not. I pretty much get to the point in my videos. I hope that you found this one useful.
That's an interesting question, I am not sure myself but I have used it in a number of other ways. One possible way is to convert a Red Glair weapon or a Detonator into a literally fireworks display.
@@TrappedInFallout I'd like to see that.. sounds interesting 😆
😍
Thank you 😊👍
quessing this allso works with unarmed so we can make one punch man
Yeap, it does. It's crazy, literally the raw power of a mini nuke with each swing of a knife or punch.
Hey want a free way to dupe mines equip a mine and ammo swap to buckshot ammo or any ammo and boom infinite explosives you can also ammo swap grenades as well so you can throw mini nukes and explosive 50 cal rounds like a wizard
Yeap, thanks for sharing. You can also drop the mines, pick them up and sell them for profit.
Haha! I like to hotkey the tiny tots and then apply them to the tomahawks. It’s really cute, you throw one singular tiny tot, not the multiple like usual.
@@rottingpotatoes2483 That sounds really cool, I will have to try it out for myself.
Oh look it's Saitama.
Ha ha its entirely possible. I'll try it out with unarmed weapons.
@TrappedInFallout Dawg just put some Boxing Tape on and a Radiation Suit or modded apparel and go full One Punch Man lol.
@aaroncrawford7884 I tried it out, it was fun. I may start an entire new playthrough just for this.
Can you show me how to do unlimited money
Hi Chaoskey, thanks for checking out my guide. I did create a guide on how to get an unlimited amount of caps using another glitch, you can checkout how using this guide. I hope that it helps. czcams.com/video/oqrzrN8iZ2g/video.html
4:12 Well, according to my tests, oh Figaro killed 2000hp 15 armor Roboscorp for 7 seconds on avg, oh baby killed it at 9 seconds, Lnock-knock killed at 11 seconds, shes Emblace at 9 seconds....etc. Worst in the game? Think twice.
That's fair enough, thanks for sharing. On paper though Figro has one of the lowest Damage and DPS and I basically based my comment on that. Statically speaking Oh Baby and Knock Knock should be able to take out enemies quicker than The Figaro, but that's based on paper 😃👍
@@TrappedInFallout the thing is, the game has uhh...the crit mechanics. If, for example, you pick perks, which increase crit chance/damage such as: eye for eye, elijah rumblings, better criticals...etc..you will find out that they are all multiplicative. So...oh baby has very low crit damage and chance. So that's why figaro wins in the long run. I am quite a tester, actually.))) I brought scientific methods into this to be objective, so I made over 1000 measurements to find out which weapon is ACTUALLY the best. I found a ton of broken stuff. Such as Hollow point bullets, which can multiply crit damage, as i found out(completely broken shit). Of course, some people can argue that there is an alternative way through the Heavy Handed, but due to the multiplicative nature of crit bonuses, it drastically reduces dps of 90% weapons. (Tested).
@rogovnin That's very impressive, I would love to be able to do that myself so tend to go with numbers on paper in the interest of time. That said, it's nice to see results beyond what we see.
In terms of long runs, not done the testing myself so not sure but if you manage to take out an enemy that has a fixed amount of health then does the long run matter as much? Not sure.
That said, the point I was trying to make is that you can take a typically low damage melee weapon and boost its damage to a point where it does not matter anymore as you practically one shot almost everything. So in theory Oh Baby or Knock Knock may not do as much damage vs Figaro but if using this glitche causes almost any melee weapon to one hit, maybe in this case it may not matter as much.
In short, it's fun pumping up the damage on the weapons ha ha. Thanks a bunch for your testing, it's given me something to think about 😃
@@TrappedInFallout By "In the long run" it meant that at the beginning of the game the character does not have such an indicator of a high critical chance and damage. Therefore, of course, such hard-hitting weapons as "oh baby" will be better. But with progress and getting perks like "eye for eye", "blood bath", "elijah rumblings", "better critics", "just lucky I am alive", "ninja", etc., critical damage bonuses begin to multiply and weapons with a "critical chance > 1" or with a " base critical damage > base weapon damage" will be better.
That's what's interesting. The "eye for eye" perk gives bonuses for each broken limb. Only +40% maximum you can have. (The head cannot be damaged after dls). However, melee weapons have a damage penalty for broken arms. And indeed, such weapons as "Saturnite fist super-heated", "power fist", etc., there was a significant drop in DPS. However!
However! Such weapons as "Protonic inversal axe", "chance knife", etc. had a significant increase in DPS with all broken limbs. Which gives me reason to conclude - "eye for eye" increases crit damage and Crit damage is broken.
As a result, not 90% of melee weapons, according to my tests, did not match the damage expectations. Some turn out to be much stronger than I thought (figaro), and some turned out to be weaker (oh baby). When I checked energy and firearms, I was also surprised by the results, but the melee weapons surprised me the most.
@rogovnin This is actually both interesting and intriguing. It's not something I have thought about in some time.
I think it might be worth making perks list that are much more geared towards specific things such as playstyle, crit, convince etc.
I wish I had some more time to be able to test things out but sadly I don't and I go with the raw numbers I see on the screen.
It's worked out well so far but I am thinking of making weapon vs videos too and I will need to do some testing for that.
Put Tiny Tots in the Big Boomer and don't aim I dare you ☢️💀
Lol as long as I aim high and away from me, things should be OK.
